No comments?? That was one of the best fish tank pictures I have took so far!
Well, I got some new zoas today!!!!
I think it was a great deal. $15 for 20+ polyps. Of course I had to get them. I iodine dipped em and placed them in. Ther are all on what looks like a brain coral skeleton. Very awesome.
I got the flatworm exit. I havnt put it in yet. I have to go get some more RO water to get a water change going. I also plan on getting some activated carbon to help with the toxins the flatworms excrete when they die. The toxin can kill everything in a tank, especially nanos.
Here are some pics of the new zoas. I dont know what they are called and there are a few polyps that are a little bit different which are my favorite. Hope you enjoy:

well, im taking the ultimate dive and just ordered a 70w 14k MH HQI Current USA SunPod!!!

I can not believe how excited I am about this purchase, and I dont even have it yet.
Im killing flatworms tomorrow... and hopefully it runs smoothly and without any issues.
I do have a question on the lighting though. Since I am updraging to MH how should I acclimate my corals to it? What lighting schedule should I follow when acclimating?
Im excited!

lol i know what you mean. its fun waiting for something to arrive in the mail and add to the tank.
hmm maybe something like
day1: 3-4hrs
day2: 3-4hrs
day3: 5hrs
day4: 5hrs
day5: 6hrs
and so on until you gradually increase it back to your regular schedule

The previous owner of the tank bought and installed the light. I think it you can get them at home depot. It looks like a dome power compact. Its got a plud and an on and off switch.
The temperature runs a constant 80, which is what I want it to be. The room that the tank is in (my bedroom) is located in my finished basement and temps never go over 64 down here.

All I can say is WOW!
I love the new lights, colors are so much brighter and an almost natural crisp, clean light. Everything is looking wonderful and all out I will post pictures soon. Between school and work its hard to find time for the tank. Im kinda slacking about these flatworms. I have everthing I need to get rid of them including 5 gallons of sw on hand. Im running carbon as well to rid of some of the toxins the flatworm release when killed. I am taking the plunge and curing the tank tomorrow. I am nervous, I just hope everything goes smoothly with no deaths or hold ups. Pics will come tomorrow after I treat the tank. wish me luck!

thanks! The tank is a little brighter and a little more intense with some of the colors such as the green nepthia. It does not turn out so green in pics. All and all I am very satasfied with the lights.
2 thumbs up

alrightttty, its been a while since I have posted
but I guess it happens. The tank is running great, all levels perfect, fish are excellent, no sign of stress, and nothing strange...
I have noticed with the new lighting my LR got so purple so fast its crazy. Some zoas have doubled if not trippled in size since I got them. Here are some new pics... There is kind of a lot, but hey.
