Don't know why....or what he did....but the moonlights seem to have fixed themselves......
The light is back up......and tonight we shall see what happens.....He has to work nights, so IF they act odd, I will just turn the moonlights off and use my little leds until we figure it out
LET'S HOPE THEY DO GOOD

Thanks.....BUT...Now I think I need a heater...LOL....I have never needed a heater with this tank....the lowest it ever got in the winter was 76....and during the day would get up to 78-80
today the highest it has gotten is 76.1 HAHA

Indeed, that's a big drop. Hopefully the lights stay working. Keep a close eye on em.
Now, comparatively speaking vs your old fixture. What do you think so far on the colors in/on all of your livestock? Did you lose any color here or gain any color there?

Well if you mean the fish they all look great.....corals have amazing colors coming from them.....I still have the whites on low, and I am watching the BTA and corals closely to make sure they are getting enough
I will move the whites up a little after a few days I think

The highest the tank temp went to today was 76.8
My issue now is the heater has to go in the tank :( there is no room in the sump/fuge so the shopping begins AGAIN

BAD NEWS....Moonlights went out again, so apparently they are NOT fixed
do not know what to do now :( Danny is thinking maybe the driver.....IDK we are stumped
HERE IS THE BIG QUESTION????
with the led driver unhooked...why would it show a short in between the heat sink and driver when the driver is not hooked up to any moonlights????

I know that this is not my neck of the woods to help with, but, it almost sounds like there is some connection issue in which the connection between something is strong at first and then slowly bonds away from something else

We had the same issue with heat once we switched :-/ I think we have a 300w Jager.
Sorry to hear about your moonlights
