i like my new avatar...i think this one will stick...
well anyways about the sentence...i was listening to the radio this morning and they said that the charges had a maximum of 5 years...but the average for this type of sentence was 18-21 months... so he got more time then a normal person would...i think it is fair...but to tell you the truth i wish it would all go away because i am frankly sick of hearing about it...and here i am replying to a thread about it...i sound kind of hypocritical...oh well

i konw this is going to come out wrong and sound bad but here i go...i really dont care how much time he gets...all i care is that he get some time and then not be allowed to play in the NFL anymore...it happens all to often now-a-days that some famous person does somthing wromg and then goes about there life as normal as can be...the NFL needs to ban him from the sport to let others know that this type of thing is not tolerated...if they let him play again then they are basically saying that people can do whatever they want and they will accept them back with open arms...

Agreed.
We need to take a serious look at an individual who can do the kind of things he admitted to doing. Is he really a person we want free in our society?
Hopefully the NFL will step up and make an example of him. Chances are, however, we'll hear the same ole song and dance of "he paid his price to society and deserves another chance" nonsense.
I'd love to ask the 2 people that voted the sentence was "too much" if they are actually aware of what he admitted to doing...

i would love to agree with this, but if he does the time for his crime doesnt he deserve a second chance??? not only is he going away for 23 mos and then on probation for 3 years but he will have the lable the rest of his life...

he will get his second chance in life but should not be allowed to ge ta second chance in the NFL...these people are professional atheltes...PROFESSIONAL...they should act professional...and if they dont then they lose their job...end of story...they know the consiquences of their actions but they choose to do them anyways...i say NO second chance in the NFL...

i saw your post right after mine was posted... i thought it to be kinda funny that you said that...
isnt the whole point of our prison system and one being incarcerated to reform and rehabilitate???
yes they are professional athletes... they are paid to play football... as much as people put their ideals onto them and expect them to be role models... THEY DIDNT SIGN A CONTRACT FOR THAT... they signed a contract to play football... how many other athletes have gotten a second chance... heck how many actors/actresses have gotten multiple chances to come back...

you are correct...they didnt sign a contract for that...but it is against the law...there is no need for a contract saying that they wont break the law...i am not saying that he shouldnt get a second chance in life...IMO he shouldnt get a second chance in the NFL...
