there is no need for a contract saying that they wont break the law...i am not saying that he shouldnt get a second chance in life...IMO he shouldnt get a second chance in the NFL...
exactly my point... it isnt an NFL law... its society's law... and a second chance on life should include him persuing the career he had previous to breaking the law...

so do you think that he should have everything handed back to him on a silver platter?...im not sure about NFL rules but isnt there also rules against gambling of any nature?...im pretty sure there were some LARGE wagers at these fights...he broke more then a few laws...i dont think that they should just hand him his jersey back...

definitely not enought time. He has killed multiple dogs, faught them, and lied about it in court. He also smoked weed and lied about it in court. 5 years should have been the sentence.
The falcons owner said that he will allow michael vick to be QB for them when he gets out.

there is NFL rules against gambling... but he is currently serving his suspension for that... and now the one year suspension has quickly turned into a 3 year suspension... no i dont think that he should get it "handed back to him on a silver platter:... upon release if he is still capable of playing in the NFL i think he should get an oppertunity... look at Ricky Williams, he has broke the NFL drug rules 4 times... and last i looked Marijuana is illegal... but guess what... HES BAAAACK...

off topic real quick...i think this whole rickey williams situation is a joke...
...the ONE game that i watched of the dolphins he only had like 30 yards...back on topic...are the games that he is missing now counting towards his suspention?...we could sit here and argue this all day but in the end we just have a differance of opinions...you think he should have another chance and i dont...either way you and i dont really have a say in what happens...

one last question for you RU...do you have kids?...now this is a "just for the sake of argument" question...do you want your kids(or future kids) to look up to vick as a role model?...

well why is breaking one law different than the other??? and even though the NFL has a policy about using drugs there isnt a policy about fighting or killing dogs...
youre right neither of us will have a say...

What like fliping the fans off.Maybe spit in someones face.
I don't even see anything close to Vick killing dogs and Ricky smoking pot. Which Vick has done both.Vick is a idiot he know he geting setence and he smokes pot knowing when your on pre-release they will pop the test on you.Only reason he admited it cause he failed a poly graph test say he never killed a dog.He should get more time.I hope he get another 2 year on state charges.
Also the falcons would say that he will play when he gets out.He is a part of the team till they take his money off their salary cap when that goes threw and he has to pay that 20 million back.He will be cut in a heart beat.Even if he does 23 months and a year from the NFL.He will not be close to what he was befor. He will be a average player not training with performance equipment.Even though he wasn't that great anyway if you ask me.His stats suck except for his rushing yard.

Well it is good to see ONE other person agrees with me.
I guess I don't think 2 years in jail will fix anything. I doubt he will come out of jail and suddenly love dogs.
I don't agree with what he did but I cannot justify locking up another human being because he hurt a 'cute furry' animal.

im not condoning those activities, but if my kids do react in the heat of the moment and flip someone off or spit on someone they will be punished... perhaps even removed from sports... im sertainly not going to teach them to act that way nor will i put up with it... but it does happen...
secondly a law is a law... both felonys...

Pot is not a felony unless in posesion of more then 21 grams.I didn't recall Ricky had more then 21 gram only consuming it.It is against the law to be on supervised realease and consume illegal drugs though.

no but he was busted 4 times... thats a Felony...
Possession of Marijuana (IC 35-46-4-11)
30 grams or less (Class A Misdemeanor Up to 1 yr / $5,000 fine)
30 grams or less and prior conviction (Class D Felony 1/2 to 3 yrs, presumptive 1 1/2 yr)
more than 30 grams (D Felony 1/2 to 3 yrs, presumptive 1 1/2 yr)
The above penalties also apply to knowingly or intentionally cultivating or growing marijuana, and to failure to destroy marijuana plants knowing that they are growing on the premises.

Busted and consuming are different.A failed NFL drug test and being busted for drugs are 2 different things. Now being on supervised release and consuming drugs are different all together.Should legalize it anyway more people die from alcohalics then pot anyway.

My point of concern is that clearly the guy is sick.
Do any of you want a person capable of doing what he did living next door to you?

So if he is 'sick' do you believe that being locked up in jail for two years will do anything to 'cure' him?
As far as living next door to him, I wouldn't have a problem with it.
