You're missing the point. The NFL has no obligation to Vick, and they can do whatever they want. He doesn't have a right to work for the NFL, just like Don Imus didn't have a right to work in radio. If they decide that they just don't like him, regardless of whether or not he's done anything illegal, thay can choose to not have anything to do with him. What happens in court doesn't really have anything to do with it. They can decide that they don't like the way he dresses, the way he behaves in public, the people he hangs out with, anything, and choose not to employ him.
