If any one wants to see how to frag something specific thats in my tank let me know, I'll frag anything except the clam, my monti cap(im waiting for it to get bigger) and none of my LPS are ready for fraggin yet though my candycane is getting close. let me double check on my frogspawn there may be a baby thats ready to remove.

thanks I'm finally starting to get some coraline growth back on the glass after the big move. I need more lR too, I frag so much I loose a lot of poundage by breaking up rocks for fragging.

Definatly. I'll do it tonite (right now I'm cooking spagehtti sauce so I cant get suited up for surgery) unless the old lady has other plans for us, she has been asking me to frag stuff up anyways. I'll do some more zoas, palys, and a chunk of the big leather, maybe a piece of tree coral as well. I'll check my frogspawn and see if any of the babys are ready too.

oh.. the old lady got home we just finished eating and she wants to watch a movie. Dont worry I wasnt offended at all. the fragging may have to wait untill tommorow though. I will make sure to take pictures of wher I cut. Its just hard to cut and take the picture at the same time. BUt I shall do the best I can.

ok these are the where to cut what shots requested by grubsnaek
the first is where to cut zoanthids, after peeling back the matt I determine where the peel ended and cut between the polyps carefully avoiding the heads and only cutting the extensions between them (dont worry if you accidentyl cut one head it'll just take longer to recover. the same goes for palythoas.

next is where to cut tree corals and finger leathers, any branching softie is the same, I usually cut right at a branch intersection that contains no polyp heads and some bare looking base, making sure there are polyps above the cut to aid in recovery time. (honestly a chunk of nothing but base will grow into a full leather or tree it just takes longer) there really is no wrong place to cut these.

ok the last is my giant toadstool leather, all I do is chose a spot thats harder to see (keep in mind this is a big NO NO I have to cut this in tank because of the size and the fact that it is attached to about 35lbs of of rock on two different spots) if possible ALWAYS cut corals out of tank. then I cut an edge off the lip containing polyps and bottom tissue, for fastest recovery as you can see by the pictures this makes the leather very un happy. he'll get over it I promise. then I just rubberband it to a rock, I'm not showing all the little steps such as attaching on these posts because I pretty much covered that in the earlier posts.

Any one feel free to ask anything about fragging if I know I will tell you and if I have it I will try to show you. if there are shots of steps that I may have left out just ask and I will try to accomodate. some shots are really hard to get because of running the camera and doing the fragging at the same time.
hope you had fun!
