Maybe when you get home you can get us a close up shot of the one you have. Might be easier to mach up that way. I looked around a little bit online and couldn't find anyone selling the part number that you listed other than outer orbit themselves. But if we knew what yours looked like and how it mounts in the fixture it might be easier to find a replacement elsewhere. You can use pretty much any T5 socket but the problem would be mounting it into the fixture. Either way you're going to have to take the fixture down and take it apart to install and wire up the new one.

Current finally e-mailed me back....and this is what they asked:
Are you looking for the T5 sockets? If so, there are two types of T5 sockets in this fixture-one that has a metal spring on the back and one that does not? Which are you looking for and how many do you need? Please let us know.

meowzer, you can get your light bulb in your fixture, sometimes the little thingy majingies turn so you have to play around with them a bit, this just happened to me a couple of weeks ago. Maybe when you get home try it.
To get the surface mounted socket out you will have to take the fixture apart there are wires that run to the socket.

Hmmm...not real sure why they would use two types of T5 sockets in the same fixture. I can understand if they are trying to ask the difference between the T5's and the MH sockets. Got me there. I would think if you had the model number for the fixture itself that the company would be able to tell you which type of T5 socket they used in that particular fixture. I'm not so sure I like the tone of the response. I'd tell them it's the T5 sockets and give them the model number, ask them why they can't tell you what type.

Just spoke to Current....he is e-mailing me some suppliers...their part is no longer made, BUT they found people who carry generic replacements
COREY...apparently in each PAIR of sockets, one side has a spring for when you insert the bulb.....so you are not forcing the bulb in

That's what I would do is change out the pair since you have the fixture down and open anyways. Heck if they were cheap enough and depending on how old the fixture was I might just replace them all. Do it all in one shot so I hopefully wouldn't have to open up the fixture again for a long time.

WELL....Now I am confused . The lady said just order the one with the spring cause it pops off
I also can not order from them
BUT she gave me the name of the supplier...the part is only $.66
SOOOOO should I just order 16 of the same thing????????

It sounds like she's saying that as long as you order the ones with the springs you are good to go because the springs pop off. I would assume that the ones without springs are the same thing. So if you got them and realized that yours don't have the springs then you can take the springs off and use them also. That's what I'm thinking, but they're the experts on the fixture.
