yes, Tyson had Foreman power. but he also had the speed of a lower weight-class fighter and the "balls" (for lack of a better word) to not be wary to get inside on larger fighters. I personally think Tyson would have had a field day with Foreman, just due to the speed factor.
you're right... Frazier was just solid.. The problem w/ Tyson is if you can keep him outside... you can jab him... I think Foreman would have an advantage there.. one of the problems w/ Tyson is his short arms in comparison to taller fighers.

First of all... no DRIVER can be in this discussion because we are talking about sports.
You all must be crazy to come in here and mention the all time greats being overrated. Ali, Gretsky, Michael Jordan, Kobe???? Even KG, Yao and Dirk are great players and cannot be called overrated based on what they can do to opposing teams.
Why not just say Babe Ruth, Wilt Chamberlain, Reggie Jackson and Joe Montana are overrated.

BTW, no one thinks Dheng is a great player outside of Chicago.
Here are some true frauds... Scottie Pippen, Barry Bonds (could not live up in the post-season), Peter Forsberg, Sergei Federov, the New York Yankees, Steve (no defense) Nash, and so on. Michelle Wie's a good call.
Overrated... what about every 7 ft white guy drafted into the NBA (Shawn Bradley comments welcome here).

I think it's very hard to say how good Tyson really was. I think everyone can agree that he happened to step into the ring at a time when there were no/few qaulity fighters and IMO, he never proved himself to be a great fighter and I think he has no heart.

youre right... EVERYONE can get in a car going 200 mph inches from 43 other cars for 4+ hours in a fire suit that traps heat, often times in places that the outside temp is 80 to 90 amplified by the black top, and not be able to make a potty stop...

Are you serious?... KG has been in top 10 in points, rebounds, and double-doubles for nearly his whole career... he won the MVP... the reason why he is not this year is because of his role with the team... He has 2 other allstars on his team and potential HOF'ers... He doesn't have to score as much..
Nowitzki may be slightly overrated due to his inablity to bang inside..I mean he is a 7footer.. and his inablity to to be the man in crunch time (NBA Finals/Playoffs) however he is still one of the top players in the league...probably top 10-12.
yes i am serious... for the money KG made in Minnesota they should have 10 rings!!!
and Dirk... and stated above he is nothing without the Nash...

in addition to that, don't Nascar drivers lose on average 7-9 pounds of fluid per race? I don't think they'd be able to withstand that if they weren't somewhat athletic. racing today is not the same as it was in the 60s when drivers would smoke cigars and drink beer while they raced.

I'm not saying it's not athletic in some ways.... so is ping pong, lacrosse and greco roman wrestling. They don't really belong in this discussion.
BTW, I'm just busting your balls... I happen to be a hater and I'd react the same if you came in and mentioned soccer players in this conversation. I'd probably tell you to go home and eat some orange slices with Capri Sun.

just because you dont have a subscription table tennis monthly doesnt mean that there isnt some over rated players out there... besides, NASCAR is the #2 spectator sport in the USA... there are a few people in NASCAR that are only there via namesake, thus making them overrated... JG, TS, JJ and Jr are all great drivers and not over rated...
eating orange slices and drinking a capri sun are the only athletic/stimulating things about soccer...

i have never heard anyone call KG overrated. but its clear you truly believe that.
i would sugest going to wiki and look up his records and career stats and dont forget he came in to the 1 season before Kobe and went to minnesota and Kobe went to the lakers. and if hes overrated because he has no rings i'll add him to my Dan Marino List
dirk and steve were awesome to watch. but we were the phoenix suns before the phoenix suns were the phoenix suns. and we changed our offensive style and nash didnt fit anymore. so snip snip now one has been to the finals and one has not. phoenix is garbage and will never win the "chip" if they try to run 100mph all the time. we figured that out and made it to the finals

now tyson had 58 fights and only 8 went 10 or more rounds
ali had 61 fights and 31 went 10 or more
if you ask me you put them 2 on a ring and the first 5 rounds would be the best thing you have ever seen then tyson would get tired and the 6'3" bigger faster stronger ali would mollywhop tyson like it or not

"we were the phoenix suns"??? did you play for the Mavericks??? and another thing i dont understand is how do you figure??? from 91-92 to the current season Phoenix has missed the play offs twice... Dallas has not made it 9 times...
Dan Marino... overrated...

of course not but in the 90's i could have played for the mavericks. clearly i was being sarcastic. and once the mavs got to the top the west teams all around tryed to mimic the run and gun style we had. and phoenix came the closest to it, but when we figured out it wasnt goin to win championships we changed to a lil more defensive minded team, and nash had to go so phoenix was more than happy to pick him up.
and were comparing the recent 2000-2008 suns/mavs. not the 90-92 suns to the 07-08 mavs
and yeah if you are talking no rings=overrated dan marino should be at the top of your list 16or17yrs same team with 1 super bowl apperace and no rings

comparing the 00 - 08 Suns to the Mavs there are similarities all along... they have ALWAYS tried to run n gun... thats why they got Penny, J Kidd and took a young Stoudamier... its not like the Mavs just magically came up with this style of play once Dirk got there... sure the Mavs have mad it to the Finals but it was with out a doubt on of the worst showing of the West in many years...
Marino only had 2 backs EVER go over 1,000 yds in a season... i am one that says rings doesnt translate into greatness, but that is ONLY for the NFL... (i also mention KG's salary... in other words he doesnt earn what he was/is paid) KG has had plenty of support, and now that is playing with super stars its more proof that he doesnt shine... Kobe was at the tops in all catergories with a supporting cast of all stars... and he is still now without them...
