I will be starting the same tank this weekend.
Did you make any changes to the setup?
What have you added to the tank any new photos?
Thanks

I will get some photos up in a bit. I added some zoo's. They took forever to grow but in the past week three new heads popped up. I also got Xenia. It has exploded. It is growing very very rapidly. I love it.
I picked up a Six line Wrasse to go with the Yasha Goby. Im actually not happy with the wrasse. It is very aggressive towards my Yasha Goby and I plan on getting rid of it.

the hood should snap off without breaking anything. you will then unscrew the shield, and there are a couple screws on the reflector that will need to be taken off too. then you unclip the lights and unhook them and the balasts and fans (directions will help you) you need to rewire the new balasts (easier than it sounds) and connect your new lights and fan and put everything back together...it didnt take me long to put my retrofit kit in.

Lookin good!!! Keep it going!!!

I have never had goniopora, but I heard somthing interesting... if you lightly stir your sand bed on a regular basis... they have a better survival rate... Don't know if it is true.. but the man that told me that....has had the same ones for years.....

lol. its all good. I have had a few tanks set up in the past but have been way bigger. I have never ever seen such a high ammonia spike in any of the tanks. Now this was my first nano so I didnt know if that have any direct effect.
This tank has actually been really fun and great learning experience. I had had a few corals not do so well and some that werent supposed to do well flourish and grow like wild fire. My Clove polyps have exploded. I started out with 4 little tree like frags now I have over a dozen. My goniopora is doing amazingly well. I actually noticed when I started adding pytoplankton it started to stick its arms arm very far. I dont know if they feed on it or not but I add it every other day and the thing looks better and better every few weeks.
When it first started I bought a Zoa frag that was really bright neon green as you can see in the pics above. It didnt do so great. Then I added other's and they have just boomed.
