he is by far my favorite fish i have...they eat pods usually so when i first got him i would pour some pods into the tank b/c i dont exactly have enough LR to support them...but the thing is...he prefers the frozen mix that i feed the rest of the fist...worked out well!!!

Fenrir, please don't add a scooter blenny in a new small tank, this person has been very lucky to find one that eats frozen food, most only eat pods which would need around 100 pounds of live rock in an established tank, not a new one. Just do some searching on this site about them and mandarins, they have the same diet.

i agree, the lfs i got it at told me that he had been eating mysis and i knew my mix had mysis in it. most ppl would say that you need a minimum of 90 lbs of live rock in your tank. i just got very luck with this little guy...hopefully if you do get on you will be just as lucky...

Ok thanks for saving me from the mistake, I don't know what I would do with out this board. Im a little bummed but I'll get one in a couple of years when I have the money to get a bigger tank. Do you think maybe a Bicolor Blenie would do better? I really like these little guys.

I really like the tank, looks great. and yes, leave the scooters alone for a while. I have a happy fat healthy one in my 29g that eats mysis (so does my mandarin, real lucky.)
have to share a pic of my scooter. they're awesome.

if im right on the one you're thinking of, its frog spawn, the tips are more of an off white than a blueish green...the pic just looks that way with the lighting, but they are very beautiful none the less
