Congrats on the set up and welcome to the boards.
I have a 210 also and just finally went to a new lighting system also.
My origional was a DIY with 2 - 250 watt MH and 2 - 160 VHO. The light was great but the heat in the canopy was a constant stain on the pocket as bulbs went out ofter, as well as ballasts. With tanks like these a suspended light has been a Godsend. It only hurts the pocket once instead of every few months.
Please keep up the posts as when you plumb it I will be greatly interested.
I have learned alot from this site on what others have done. Currently I was just able to update my local lfs and put 6 20g longs on on sump system and 2 55's on another. Thet had been running all tanks with UG filters for quite some time and it was taking constant water changes.
Good luck and keep up the enthusiasm!

Yeah, cool lights! But do they come in English?
Man, this is going to be awesome watching this build. So you're going to do all the woodwork yourself?
One more Q - got pics of your other tanks? You definitely have to show the 120 - then compare it to the 210.
Awesome stuff!

Awesome - yeah, a custom stand is truly the only way to go. My big debate (when I eventually go big like you are) is whether to go with a nice stand or in-wall.

As do I,
Nothing I have seen can compare to Tunze, I run 2 Streams and a wavebox on my system as well as an osmolator. I have seen the alternatives and all have fallen short and some can't even make it out of the starting gate (Guess which ones) I plan to upgrade to a 210 next year as well and guess what I will be using on it,
Excellent choice cannot wait to see your build complete. It's refreshing to see a serious reef keeper who knows what there animals really need. Bravo!

Yep same experience on my end Thrice, they have a good idea but they fell short IMO. There is no better powerhead than TUNZE IMO or at least I have not seen or tried it yet. My LFS lets me test equipment for them at times and those Koralias were a fun one LOL. The one I tested shot apart and threw the impeller shaft into the rock work that was fun to fish out. Cant wait to see some more updates on this dont keep us too long.

i have been usein the hydor pumps in my tank for the last 6 months are never had any problems with them. But if u have the money the the tunze's then y not!
