Alix how do you keep your sand so white? I am having all kinds of trouble with green alge and some black or dark purple stuff, It is horrible. I don't know what to do about it.

big clean up crew (lots of nass snails and a fighting conch) and the occasional turkey baster. i also scrub between the sand & the glass with a toothbrush to remover the algae buildup that grows there & looks nasty.

not stolen, though that would be cool. i moved everything from it into my 55, which promptly sprung a leak, so now its in the basement holding LS, LR, sand, hermits, snails, and a conch.
