How are you going to have the frags set up? Are you gonna have LR in there and just attach frags in there? Or, are you gonna set up some different "layers" of that white crate looking stuff to put the frags on? Gah! Am I making any sense in what I'm asking?

and yea I did understand you! I am going to have some LR, but pretty much going to go with the whole egg crate shelve thing. That will give me more room to go fraggin crazy

haha fragging crazy! I payed $8/polyp. LFS cut me a deal normally $11.99/polyp
but they said it grows like mad under the right conditions you dont need anything special just good cal lvls, spot feed at least once a week. Thats really it I dont have metal halide just t5s. They ship too and run weekly specials. Lots of cool stuff all the time.

I started to build two shelves when I realized I did not allow room for the filter,skimmer,or power head..duh. So I have one finnished, I will have to make some adj. to the other one, no biggie. My filter,heater,salt and power head along with all the other stuff will be here tomoroooowwww (like that Blazin
) so I will start the set-up. Wend the light will be here

Is your filter & skimmer going to be in the tank?
What did you use to connect the egg crate? I'm guessing zip ties? Also how do you cut egg crate. I have a hard time with it, it breaks in the wrong spot.

Yep, zip ties and then I add a little super glue to the corners. My filter will be a AquaClear 70 HOB, the skimmer i have not made up my mind on yet but I am leaning towards a seaclone 100, alos a hang on.The a/c has a really good sponge and also bio-rings, between that my LS and LR I will have enough biological filtration.

Well... It's been a long day ! don't want to bore you with detail's but my Dad was rushed to the hospital today, He has some health issues. We will find out more tomarrow, he is 75 but I still need him around for awhile,so if any of you are religious I would appreciate if you would say a prayer for him ! I think he will be fine, but I am a believer in the power of prayer. Ok, now for the fun stuff!! I did get my tank running tonite, and I found out my light is in Chicago and on a fedex truck and will be here tomorrow. All I have to do now is figure out how to hang it ! This is my first MH light and also my first attempt at hanging one at " the proper" height so my tank get's enough of the benifits of the MH, but not so much that I fry my little friends! I didn't put the LS in yet because I wanted the salt to mix well first, I also took about 6gal of water from my 24gal tank. I am out of money but I really want to get some LR in there right away, I may have to use the old visa. Big shock but I want this to cycle fast!!! the Visa-therm stealth heater is cool looking but there is no light on it so you can't see if it's on or not
kinda weird.

Looking good so far. The front 2x6 is cracked, was that from the weight of the tank or was it cracked during the build? I can't wait to see more pictures. Good luck with your Dad.

hmmm didn't notice that, don't know if it was like that b4 I put the water in. I looked over everything real well after reading you'r post, it seem's ok. Time for another prayer?
