I think Meowzer had the best line. I just worry that my passion and the alcohol will turn me back into a man at some point and I will do #5.

Well I waited about 6 months and I have started a fuge. I only have LR and sand in my fuge right now so I am watching things close. I watch the Mandarin feed every day so I think I am ok. The fuge is full of pods and I have added some pods in boht the DT and the fuge.
Gill,
do you do anything special to add more pods?

so have you decided what you are getting this weekend? I think I am getting some bumble bee snails and a whole bunch of other snails. Plus a piece of trumpet coral.

just to make sure you know...bumblebee snails are predatory whelks, and do nothing as members of the CUC. in fact, they will prey on the beneficial fauna in your tank and even may take small snails down.

Not sure, I have been searching for a FS in Gulf Shores. I found a couple but their Web pages dont really look impressive enough to get off the beaten path that far.
This weekend may actually turn out to be about my wife

Well the weekend turned out to be all about my wife. I gave her a "no" free weekend. We had a bunch of fun.
The tank is still doing great. My Candy Cane is splitting and most of my soft corals are multiplying. The Mandarin is still doing real good and is feeding all over the place. My fuge is teaming with pods. Havent really added anything lately. I am in need of getting some more snails. May go to the FS tomorrow.

HOLY HIGH PRICES BATMAN!
Someone should have told me that corals were expensive.
Anyone want to donate to a poor Alabama boy who wants the reef in his dinning room?

LOL, my mother saw pictures of my zoas and when she finally came to see my tank she was like "where is everything" It was hilarious.

The problem I ran into yesterday was that I am looking at some frags, about 2" tall, and the guy is like that one is $90.00 and the other one is $95.00. They were Bali corals in the acro family I believe. A very nice purple. Checked the prices on here and they are a little larger but still $75.00. For me $30.00 frags are around my comfort rage as I tend to get worried that I am just gonna kill it anyway. But why worry? If I kill 30 of the $30.00 frags isnt that bad enough.
I hear you Jess on where is all the stuff, but with the proper water parameters those zoas will be growing like crazy. I didn't feel great about my tank until I managed to get enough frags to go around the tank. Then I was like at least there is some color in there.
Meowzer, a lady with 12 tanks has no place posting anything about cost

Sheesh and you asked me about me starting a little ole 8 gallon.
