Holy crap that thing was hard to get to sit still. I hope it stays there. Now I know what you were talking about Meowzer.
Ill post a picture in a little while. Any tips on getting that sucker in the sand??
YEAH....that's what the husband is for

He scooped some sand out (made a dent) placed the anemone in it, and pushed the sand around it....it came up some on its own, but stayed in the exact spot he set it

I dont have a husband
Yeah mine eased up a bit as well. I ended up putting a piece of pvc pipe in the sand and put him in it and filled that with sand. Didnt seem to work a whole lot better but it worked.
Ok as promised here are some pics

Well as pretty as it may be it may not like its spot I picked out. It has eased up but not completely out of its hole today. On another note and following some good strategy of Jimmy, I picked out a couple of Acros today.
1 Marshall Island Fuzzy Yellow/Green (frag)
1 Red Planet (frag)
Will get the pics up in a little bit. Gotta figure out where Im gonna put em and then go from there.

Did it do that from the beginning or did it start after a while? Could it be your halides? Mine has only been in the tank a few days but hasnt done that at all under my T-5s. Mine seems to be extending itself out of the sand. I wonder if it can dig itself back in.

Don;t worry about it being in the sand, it will sit how it wants to...We buried mine pretty good, and it came out, but still never moved away from the spot.....It started doing this a few days after I had it I think....Like I said...I FREAKED....PM'd Cranberry like HELP WHAT'S HAPPENING haha, she told me this is normal...REMEMBER...they are NOT real anemones

Im gonna be nice and just ignore that instinct I have
and just say no it hasn't. Its still sitting just a little to high out of the sand for my liking but it in the same spot. Now it does contract its tentacles but not like your pics.

LOl...OOPS....I really need to re-read before I post....Joe would have a field day with that one

Here are some from just a few secs ago. This is what I mean when I say its tentacles are drawn back.
I still think your lights may be affecting it. You know that Mushroom you asked me about that I keep calling a "frilly" mushroom. Well I had to move it to its current location because when I had it up higher in my tank it would turn itself inside out. Like it was hiding from the light. I know they say that these things dont need a lot of light to live but do you think it may be getting to much?

IDK...It's on the bottom, and the tank is 30" deep....I thought they need as much light as a regular anemone

I was just doing some more reading on it....and that is what I found so IDK :(

So what did it do? Im looking at mine and its pretty much the same as yesterday. It seemed to come out a little more after lights out. My moon lights are on though as the moon is almost full again.
