If you duct tape the cat to the wall, it can't run away any more.

OOOH!! Put in in a deep hole in your basement. "It rubs the lotion on it's skin or else it gets the hose again."

Thank goodness you found your kitty.
Make sure that you let your dad know that you need him, and that he has to take care of himself for you. Always encourage him to be compliant with his diet. Actually, the diabetic diet is not so bad to deal with. My mom was diabetic. You can eat most things but in moderation. The worst is keeping up with the daily sugar tests. A small price to pay to stay healthy.

Get the cat chipped!! It's super cheap, and it got me my spaniels back! Even if he's indoor only!
I let my dogs out, they are old school, they always come back. However one day a random kid "thought" they were lost and he took them home. Of course his MOM fell in love with the dogs! But his dad had the sense to get them scanned! He said, "If they didn't have a chip, my wife was not going to put any effort into finding the owner, she wanted those dogs!".

It's the middle of the night and I couldn't sleep....I read this post first thing. My prayers are with you for Grandpa and Dad and I too am glad you found your cat.
My siamese cat Pebbles was hiding in a basket of laundry I had put in my car, when I went to the laundry mat and opened the trunk she was terrified and ran out...I called her but she wouldn't come.
All the while I did my laundry I would go outside and call her...nothing
I went home thinking I would have to post fliers and feared she would be hit with a car, the laundry mat was on a busy street. One last time I drove back to the laundry mat, in the middle of the night when all was quiet...I called her and she came running. I was so happy to have her back safe and sound, so I know just how you feel, it's like a lost child.

good you found your cat socks and i will pray for you and your dad.
That reminds me of the time my cat socks had a nasty fight and was petrified took her in and made sure she stayed in the house until she recovered. So i went down stairs next morning and she was nowhere to be found i went all over the town to look for her scared we had lost her. Eventually I went home desolate and defeated guess what happened next. She ran out of the room I had last seen her in and jumped onto her cat bed.

So I visited my grandpa today.... and it turns out that his brain was bleeding... whatever that's called... I don't even want to know. He was in intensive care on life support... well... it was a sad sight.... and I don't think that he'll make it through the night... I feel a way I've never felt before... but honestly I say turn the machines off... my grandpa lived a long, good life... and I can tell that it's just time to be reincarnated... (if you believe in that of course)... I'll move on... we'll all move on in my family...

Oh I know this.... I am not sad about it. I know that it's unavoidable... it's the biggest part of life, the opposite of it. But thank you for your words.

{{{HUG}}} I'm so sorry.... I never have the right words to say, just know that you and your family are in my prayers.
Thank you flower... I have a hard time stating my words about it too... pray most for my grandma... she has been hit the hardest by it... it just happened so fast... one day he was fishing and 3 days later he's gone... honestly I am not sad today... I was much sadder yesterday.... and there is no point to be "sad". It's hard not to be, but there is no need to be. Sorry if I sound mean or anything... I can't state my words about this right.

Well, I know it hurts but think about it, out fishing 3 days before he died in his late 70's. I hope I am granted such a long and full life. Don't be afraid to smile when you think of all the happy memories.
