Well, I know it hurts but think about it, out fishing 3 days before he died in his late 70's. I hope I am granted such a long and full life. Don't be afraid to smile when you think of all the happy memories.
I am.... I know that he lived a very full life... it's kind of hard to think of him... but when I do, I try to smile... well.. might as well share a story about him: when he had surgery to his head 2 years ago... it was very long and intense... after the surgery was done... he was actually WRESTLING with the nurses to let him go home already... just HOURS after such an intense surgery. He was very strong... he was given 9 months to live after that surgery... and was supposed to be bed-ridden... believe it or not... he lived 2 years after that surgery.. and was FISHING and GARDENING. Didn't waste a second of his life.

JP - I am so sorry to hear about your grandpa. It's never easy letting go of someone we love dearly... trust me I speak from experience.
All I can say is that he is in a better place and he sounds like he enjoyed his life very thoroughly. Which is a blessing itself!
Hang in there!
