LOL...I asked him if someone was at the door he is actually looking out the wnidow to see, and at the same time standing close to the door all ready to pounce on the bad guy if need be, he looked so good all at attention so I snapped the picture. He has a slew of toys because he only tears up balls. Pic #2 he is with his favorite.

The stacking is a bit off, the one back leg needs to be moved a little farther back.
and is that an anti bark collar on him? for shame.............
Declawing cats is bad enough as the pain is only temporary and they only remove the first knuckle on the cat, but a shocking anti bark collar is another matter.

No not a perfect pose, and not an anti bark collar...a radio fence. He doesn't get shocked because the very moment it even beeps he stops. He was shocked only once..he learns fast, Tamerah also has a collar. So it is more humane than a declaw because they were not sore after. He does not leave the yard...He bites, and I never want to lose a dog to getting hit with a car.
Dogs get past fences all the time, electric underground fences, if the dog gets past it are blocked from going home. A radio fence shocks till they go home...so they don't get far and never roam again. After they know the beep I turn the shock to nothing, just the warning and they are more than willing to stay in their own yard.
U Mike...Finally someone joined in with more pictures...Lester looks very happy, I can almost see a smile.

Here are a couple pics of our shepard. She is small, only about 54 lbs. Very sweet and loyal. Watches my kids like a hawk.

TeresaQ, They are both just beautiful. I love the shepherds face...all girl. When your family, they really love you...
Meowzer, I don't blame you, big dogs are scary, and if it isn't your dog you really don't know...I wouldn't want to meet up with one running loose. I feel very safe with my dogs around. I grew up in Chicago...a big well trained dog is the first line of defense, they buy time to call for help or get away. Most times their very presents is enough to keep us safe. I don't want a gun in the house. When a big dog is not in protection mode against intruders they are in affection mode wih the family, I love sloppy dog kisses...life is good.
Oddly the only intruder our family ever incountered was in my Mothers house in Chicago. A man had climbed into the kitchen window in the middle of the night...her two little white Maltese dogs, one on each leg chased the man all the way to the door nipping at his pants legs as he ran. A dog doesn't have to be big as a lion to have the heart of one. However, I'm sure if she had Atticus he would not of gotten into the window to begin with.

No, she not mean at all, but I have seen her go on the defense. Its the silent Shepard you have to look out for.
I would be more worried about the dobie biting. She is a big mouse. Takes he a while to get use to things. She is afraid of our male cat, he beats her up. lol
Our little jack russell is the dominate female in our house though.

Actualy there are only two the first picture is the schnauzer with a new haircut. They are fine together the schnauzer is 5 and the jack Russel is 15 months, I don't think they could live without each other, the puppy keeps the older one in shape.

not sure if this was for me or not, but we have three females and have no problems. Our Jack is the oldest and the queen.

I had no idea females could get along, I thought males would...so it's the opposite of human beings...LOL
Thanks, that info will come in handy if I ever get another dog besides these two I have.
