My encounter with SWF.Com
I am lucky enough to have 5 saltwater/coral stores within a ½ hr drive from my home. With that luxury I have no need to order online. The fact that I like to “see what I get” and the high price of overnight shipping are my two main reasons for not doing so.
When the “no shipping fee to Florida “was brought to my attention I decided to give the livestock a look. I have wanted a jewel damsel for my mantis tank and when SWF had one available I decided to give them a try. Having placed my order and checking out i realized shipping fees were factored in. I retried to order several times with the same result. I sent a pm to Scott from SWF as well as posted my problem on the boards. Within 5 minutes Scott send me a message stating I should give him my sign on name and he would check it on his end. 15 minutes later I received another pm from Scott telling me he was having the same trouble using my sign on name and that I should order anyway and add a note to SWF that no shipping charges should apply as per his instructions and he would personally see I was reimbursed for shipping. He would also forward the issue to technical support.
Knowing the best laid plans EST. I decided to cancel my order. As I was removing my order I realized that now the shipping charges were removed. It may have been a lag in the modern technology we deal with today or the technical support but more likely Scott’s involvement. All in all I had an issue and within 1 hr it was resolved. I must say in relation to my first experience with buying live stock from SWF WELL DONE.
