hmmm I got 2 really cool black ones with light brown spikes, they were also hitchhikers. Mat be I should get rid of them huh?

NWDYR. They are great algae eaters but if you like Coralline Algae then i would get rid of em, Trade em into your lfs. Other than that they are great reef additions. I loved mine just hated that everytime i put a new piece of lr in there with tons of coralline it was back to normal rock color within 2 days. LOL. Well here are some photos of my sun coral last night.

That sun coral is SO awesome! It's nice to see someone come up with such a nice tank on their first try...it really makes me itch to get started in this hobby. Keep up the pics!

Thanks Redwarrior for the comment. Happy to see someone appreciates the way my tank looks And welcome to the forum and hopefully saltwater world entirely. I think you would love it really. I didnt know anything about fish tanks before i bought this. Just learned as i got things and starting my tanks. And everyone on here helped with everything and all the questions i had.

I had to sell it , the price was right! I could have gotten 3 really nice sun corals real cheap with that shippment I got today , but i just don't want to spot feed that many heads!!! you'r looks awsome...makes me think i schould have gotten them anyway

TThanks, Yeah the sun coral is awesome and very pretty to look at when its open. But yeah i hate that i have to spod feed every polyp. I asked my lfs where i got it , if i could bring it in to trade for some zoo frag but they wont take it back. LOL They have like 3 of em that are just dying,

wow tank looks great love the sun coral also. i hope my black one can become as sick as urs one day, love the the fish=P and some of the zoos are cool and would love to get my hands on them lol we need to swap once they grow out a little=P

WOW WE ARE JUST ALL POSTING TONIGHT. I LOVE IT. Dont wanna leave cuz i am seeing new comments on my threads. FINALLY. And yeah i love my sun coral also. WISH you could get a nice pic of your black one cuz i aint seen it in any of your pics. i wanted to get a black 1 when i bought this 1 awhile back but the black 1 they had was looking pitiful so i chose this instead and have been having it awhile now so i am happy about it And my zoos are still not doing too hot in this tank. Dunno what is happening but they are pretty much all disappeared. MY sun CORAL AND mushrooms, and DUNCAN IS DOING AWESOME THOUGH. Must have something eating my zoos but i havent seen anything. No sun dial snails no nudis no nothing. Just seem like they melting away.

suckz blazin yea i had my ding dangs melt away and the rest of my zoos where fine the whole time??? we will never figure it out i think its just a numbers game lol some die but others will survive so for us its just how lucky we get lol.

Did you see my frag tank pic? in one of my new corals you can see a big claw hanging out!! When I was about to take the 2nd pic, I saw him thru the camera

he was a RED gorilla crab!!! never saw a red one, but he had big black tips so I know he was a gorilla! I didn't take a pic of him ( I know I am a dork!) but I did spare his life and thru him in the wet/dry with all my live rock, and he has a buddy in there, another gorilla crab I found a month ago. Maybe they will have gorilla war fare and kill each other

YOu know i am thinking maybe it could be my lights ? I have had this tank since September of last year. My Frogspawn and duncan and yuma and rics are doing fine though ?

I don't think it would be the lights, seriously think about those "friendly little crabs. Bulbs for that tank are not too expensive, you could try changing them just to put your mind at ease , but I really don't think its the lights

Yah nwdyr, i asked my lfs about the light issue and they said i should have a couple more months out of my lights and i looked at em and they dont appear to be dim at all. So I guess i have something eating em. But i know i dont have any bad crabs in that tank because well i havent seen any. I dunno maybe i do have a bad hermit or something eating em ? Well here are some new photos.
I bought a mushroom and a xenia on a rock yesterday. Anyone know what this type of mushroom is ? I was thinking maybe its a lavender mushroom but they said just some type of hairy mushroom. Any ideas ?

I really love your tank. What do you feed and what is your feeding schedule?
I'm particularly impressed by your sun coral...I never see any with the tenticles out like yours. Is it a special type or is it just particularly happy in your tank?

Thanks redwarrior. Ok my feeding habits. Usually when lights come on about 30 minutes to an hour later i will feed them a bit of Formula One Flakes and then later in the day maybe a little more flakes. Not a lot though only enough that gets consumed within a minute. And then later in the night before the lights go out i feed the tanks Ocean Plankton. Noticed my Sun Coral opens up within minutes of putting that in the tank. So then i feed them with a turkey baster Mysis Shrimp. The large ones. And i feed my duncan the same way. I feed my pep shrimp,cleaner and fire shrimp a mysis also before i feed the sun coral , otherwise they will steal the sun corals food. And i also feed some pellets to the tank as well . the OraGlo Pellets.
