catastrophic day for my tank
my tang has passed away
she got lodged in the instant reef inserts and i tried to help her out, she came out and had something that looked like a seizure a few times wile swimming and died. i took all the instant reef crap out and put in the 20 lbs of live rock i just bought, i accidently stired up sand wich made my water terrably cloudy pluss all the stuff that must of been on the instant reef got stured up in the tank. my water is in terrable condition now :( everythings all messed up ive made a mess now i dont know wut to do. i dont know if my waters gonna clear up and sand got lodged in my curculation pump ruing it. also my filter. so now half my equitment is ruind, my poor tang is gone............ im very sad and dont know wut to do

you should look at marco rock to fill your tank. Its dry rock and will not mess with your water readings and will become live in no time.
you can clean your powerheads if they have sand in the impellers, just take them out and rinse them.
Keep extra saltwater on hand - you may need to do a few water changes to keep ammonia reading down because of stirring things up. Also pick up some amiquil just in case.

look for Amquel+....it does not rid the tank of ammonia...only neutralizes the toxicity for your fish

I agree with an LFS for once, the tang DEFINITELY needs to go, and the bannerfish isn't the best choice either...
but don't worry, there are TONS of other AWESOME fish that would look GREAT in your tank... if you need advice on those fish just ask (with us, not the LFS of course lol!)!

Minimum tank size for a bannerfish is 100G IMO it should be bigger since the fish could get up to 10"....SO a 55G is really NOT a good fit for it
give them back, and let's get your tank up to snuff before you add anything else
