Have you ever seen what a restoration company does. It is pretty dang cool. They'll "sandblast" the item with dry ice. And it freezes the soot off the item. Then mechanically blows it off.
Thats interesting,Ive never heard of this .Sound pretty friggin genius though.DO they have a union

Dear, Schlep Rock -
First your daughter's accident and now this! Glad everyone is okay!!!!!
I am sure the wiring job wasn't a Union job.

My kids and wife where suprisingly calm cool and collected then and now.Me on the other hand after the initial incident could not sleep a wink,i kept thinking about (what if it flares back up)and to be honest I'm s little gun shy about the remaining receptacles,lights......Im constantly spot checking everything.
I would be too.....has this woman offered to pay for anything? I would be furious.

She feels horrible,And i feel bad for her.She thinks that she caused the fire and in a sense her space heater did cause the fire but it wasn't THE cause. The circuit breaker should have tripped if the circuit was overloaded, and it didn't that's what caused the wires to super heat ,causing the romex wire insulation to melt and start the fire. She actually very well could have saved my life .If it wast that space heater it could have been a shop light ,tool or some other electrical appliance being used in the garage or anywhere else on that circuit. For some reason the circuit breaker didn't trip,Bad circuit breaker, nic in the line, loss of ground..... Haven't really figured out what it was yet.I'm already dead set on having a bigger breaker box installed with new circuit breakers all the connections checked and tested.A full and thorough electrical safety check.

Wow, close call. I'm really glad nobody was hurt.
Yeah Bang,If that insulation smoldered into the wee hours of the night and spread throughout the attic,it would have taken only a little hole in the roof to provide the oxeygen to flash it into a inferno. My whole ceiling would have become a fireball in a matter of seconds.

Her first mistake was saying the word "pets". No guy considers a cat a pet. They are creatures kept by women to try to send us to an early death.

Veni count your blessings . Try being my mother she had part of her 65 foot 60 year old Sliver Maple go BOOM today from all the ICE on her. Took out 2 rose bushes 40-50 feet of fence and might have killed the tree with the limb that broke off over 18 inches around at were it snapped off 9 feet away from the trunk.

Ummmm... 2 roses bushes and part of fence do not compare to major electrical problem in a house leading to a fire and the future threat of fire until wiring is corrected......Unless she was walking under the tree when this happened......not saying, just saying.

Darth the tree is is danger of FALLING ON THE HOUSE NOW. There is so much ice on it the top is leaning towards the house andit may break before it melts off. She lost another branch today that took out the back deck 2 feet from the house and the trunk is beginging to spilt at the top.

There is NO SAFE WAY TO BRING IT DOWN WITHOUT a using a cherry picker and coming down from the top. All that has fallen so far is ONE BRANCH from it. That took out all listed above it was only 18 inches arounf. This tree is over 7 feet around at its base.
