Go Gaints!
The black will look good. I personally think the blue makes it pop more, well that is if you have the right kind of blue. That will be a good light.

if u can understand my drawing will this work for a closed loop system without drilling my tank sorry for the hand writting dont know how to use text in paint

For text in paint you make a box the let go of the mouse and it will start blinking a line for you too type. Only drawback is that the text is always to small. Nice drawing, makes sense. Isn't the tank a bow?

I like a dark navy blue.. I think it gives a tank "depth".
I would also trace the bottom of your stand and cut a sheet of plywood. I wouldn't want a sump sitting directly on a nice floor like that. Just a suggestion.

Agree with the plywood. Then polyurthan it. I would go with a refugium. Not really hard to make. Just through sand (DSB or not), rubble, and cheato or mangroves in it. Sand and rubble are opitional but having cheato mangroves or something that will suck nitrates is the point of a refugium. As gives a 'refuge' ,go figure that one, for pods and such that would be eaten by variours fish.

just added some of the live rock that came with the tank. it is covered with aiptasia!!! so far i have shot about 25 with joes juice

Since you just started you might want to take the rock out and scrub it....I am sure there are other ways to do this.....

IDK if you can put peppermint shrimp in a ank that is cycling???
You might want to ask that question

Not really good for anything to go through a cycle. Mushrooms might be sucked in while the tank is cycling. And a shrimp might die if it is introduced at the beginning of the cycle, might live if it is introduced closer to the end but why not just wait for it to be over..
Good job.
