Nice set up you have going there! I love my JBJ just got the 28. What do you think of yours so far? Only thing I don't like is the fact the lights heat my water so quick. Going to have to get a chiller when I have extra money soon.

Blazin, is it just me or have you realized the acans are basically a trash disposal? Today I thawed out wayyy too much food, so I just sucked it up with the baster and blew it all over the acans and it was gone in about 5 minutes, and they were ready for more.
If you ever have xenia problems, dont prune it! Surround it with acans and it wont go anywhere! Hahah

Yah paintballer768 , my acansssss LOVE to eat. I feed them at least 10 pieces of mysis a day and at night they look hungry and hungry for more but i aint going to overfeed my tank just cause they are hungry little devils. My acan echinata though hardly gets any food but they still grow pretty fast as well. Thanks for comments.

Yea I hear ya there. Between the fish, acans, and duncan, I feed about a block of mysis a day (2 total feedings) and I put some cyclo in the mix for the chromis because they dont eat the mysis yet, its too big for them. My acans will eat whatever will fit on their mouth. I saw a picture on reef2reef of a guys acan eating a bristleworm that tried to walk over them.

I feed my acans chuncks of table shrimp they love it! I believe that my red acan ate one of my cerith snails. I saw the cerith poking around the sand near the acan and next day there was only a shell
. It grabbed a hermit crab once too but the crab was strong enough to pull away.

DEFINATELY WOULD MAKE IT AS RARE AS A PPE I THINK. LOL. Maybe worth 50 bucks a POLYP. but i aint gonna charge like that. I might charge 20 bucks a polyp 50 for 3 polyps. LOL. as soon as i get more grown. HAHAHA. But peef i will let buy 1 get 1 free. HEHE. Since he is getting it named for me. Well hopefully it will start growing pretty fast. I feed each polyp a piece of mysis a day. And since i did that it has been growing steadily eVen the baby will eat an entire piece of mysis. No other zoas of mine eat mysis. Only palys. But i am certain this is some type of zoanthid and not palythoa.
