So this is where you've been hiding. lol looks great! I also love the conchs. They do an ok job and are just cool to watch! You'll need more than 1 they like to hide for a couple of weeks at a time. Good to see you with another tank. Your words of encouragement in the beginning kept me here and posting and adding things to my tank...... Hey wait its all your fault! Lol just kidding. Good job!

WOW!!! thanks for all the great comments , I am not worthy

Iyac , those are not my fighting Conch's
Coral Keeper was just showing his.
I have about 20 nass. snail's and I must agree , the don't seem to do much. I had like 40+ in the 40gal and the sand did not stay white. I think I will take Blazin and Coral's advice and get one of those fighting bad boy's!
Cool video Spanko!
Subie: I had a diamond back goby , yea they make the sand white but the rest of the tank is a mess! and it always looks like a sand storm is moving thru

Blazin: I can always count on you to be a smart ass! thanks for the shot on the dead coral
And yea this is a 7.5 gal nano...you really think it looks bigger?
Sorry to hear about your sun coral , they are a pain to keep healthy!
Nissan: thanks for the compliment bro

I keep my sand white by "gravel vacuuming" when doing water changes... Also sporting fighing conchs... what can I say, they're pretty cult.

thanks tri
so far so good! only 1 MIA , my watchman goby. But I found him last night , he dug a new su
ay system that runs the full length of the tank! He works fast
Poked his head out late looking for a snack

Anyone else having trouble with this site??? i had a hard time getting on here all day yesterday and I could not send PM's. Now it's doing weird stuff. Like the word su
ay above has the little guy beating his head on the wall in the word...I didn't put that there but it I can't edit it out

I have had the best success with T5 VHO lighting , actually my first nano was just standard CFL lighting and I had good luck with that as well. I had MH lights for a little while but in my tank it just burned up the coral's. I know they have their place with certain coral but didn't work for me . JMO

I tried the Vac. thing before , but I always vac. up too much sand

I don't vacuum any sand down the line... if it gets too high the in vacuum portion just pinch the hose and the sand will fall back down.

I will try it , but I am hoping to keep the sand white and not need to Vacc. anything off it. Like I said I have tried it and seems no happy medium. Either I am sucking up the dirt AND the sand or noting at all
I guess I will just give the fighting snail a shot! thanks for all the suggestion's
I will up date some new pic's tomorrow. Tank still seems a little cloudy...My 40 was always crystal clear. Maybe I need to get a real wet/dry and ditch this HOB wet/dry
I hope not because funds are REAL LOW!! Hey maybe with Obama's tax cut I can afford it huh?......yeaaaaaaaa
