LOL...nice looking fish...there is some shadowy writting on the side of the fish...I swear if you tip your head to one side it says IOU. I just thought it was funny.

Is yours a big sissy pants like mine is? I heard so much about these guys being aggressive and was really concerned about putting one in my tank with the other tangs, but he's the biggest tang I've got and the biggest pansy too! The little tail spot blenny kicked him out of a spot today because he wanted to eat there and the achilles just cowered and went away.

how sad, but i shouldnt be talking cause mine is one as well. :( When i put her in the purple tang went at it! here and there and everywhere until it finally stop. and do you think she did anything no! that chicken! well atleast they are hardy fish :) lol

I have an achilles tang too. It is about the same size...maybe 4" though. He is in my 200g bowfront. I also have a powder blue tang too in the same tank. I know this is a no-no in tang care with two similar species in the same tank but fortunatley for me they coexist very well. They graze togther and follow each other often. They were added at the same time which is why I was able to accomplish this.
Anyways the achilles and powder blue are my fav tangs in the ocean. Good luck with yours and feed it lots of nori.

My purple tang went right after mine too. Luckily it's stopped. The purple tang has some guts, she's tiny and went right up yo the Achilles. The blonde Naso can't be bothered with any of them. Glad to know that my Achilles isn't the only sissy. Everyone says these guys are aggressive

and yes atleast the purple and achilles share the same algae sheets :) lol.

That's the funny part. When I pick it up at the wholesalers they were like "listen he's aggressive so be careful i was like
ok!" when i put him in the first thing he did was hide! i was like woah she such a gangster! then i was like maybe she attacks at night! nope hiding throughout the day. till finally it started eating. thankgod! :)

Nori is a nutritious edible sea vegtable (weed). It is the same stuff they use to wrap your sushi in. My fish get nothing but nori, mysis, shrimp, squid, and occasionaly scallops.
My fish are so bright with color its amazing. I must be doing something right.
You can find nori at your local good store such as publix, fresh market or organic store.
I think its cheaper than buying seaweed from your LFS. I buy the emerald cove organci pacific nori and it comes with 6 huge sheets of nori for about 9 bucks as opposed to what the LFS sells you.
