Refugiums can be fantastic and helpful tools to have for your tank. A refugium is a tank where you can house macro algaes and allow them to grow in order to remove excess nutrients from your system. They can greatly help reduce nitrates and phosphates and are very easy to set-up. Refugiums are also great places for copepods and other critters to grow without the threat of being eaten.

mannn now i dont know if happy with my aquascaping.. im so not down to redo this but i think im going to.. i really like the look of WHISKS rocks and if u dont mind would kind of like to set it up like urs. backially around the sides of the glass and going to the back.. and leaving the middleish area open.. that looks so much cooler then my stupid allllllll the back look and the entire front open.. what do u guys think?

I say go for it. The atoll formation is a popular choice. You should try it because you wont know if you will like it until you at least try. now is the time to make any changes so give it a shot.
I agree with NanoNewb, you will tend to mess around with it a bunch of times until you are finally happy. I'm not 100% happy with mine yet, but im close, i'll probably move a rock or two to get it the way I want.
Good luck, I think aquascaping is one of the best and most fun things about owning an aquarium.

im so annoyed! i totally rappppppppped my rocks! i tired to re aquascape it liek 6 times and none of my peaices were fitting liek i wanted it too.. at the end i just gaveup and threw all my peaices into my tank on top of one another c uz i got fed up with it.. my fingers hurt from the sharp rocks and my girlfriend is comin over in a bit so i said ---- it.. i didn't want to leave the rock sout so i just threw it in the tank.. the verdict..
WHISK, i hate you.. this is alllllllllll your fault!

for starters, here are my stupiud HUGE rocks that i have to work with.. i think my peaices are to large no?...


and omg i hateeeeeee that stupidddddd branch looking rock, i duno why the hell i ever baught it in the first place (bottom right of the pick).. 2nd from the right to bee xact
