AK, I was talking about the smash in the fence and then him standing on the car with his arms raised in victory. I remember watching that over and over when it happened. I thought he was dead at first, but the best was him getting out and climbing on the car.

That finish in the nationwide was amazing. I was watching it with the sound off so I knew Brad's car but did not know who the other two were. I thought the 32 car was giving it all he had and figured that had to be Kyle. I was surprised when I found out at the end it was Vickers. He was going for it, Brad just had too much car for him.
KJ, I have a little known fact about the golf. Did you know that Tiger had never lost before when leading going into the final round of a Major? How many times did you hear that on Sunday? Yang played well enough to win, but man Tiger missed so many putts by 2" or less.
Tiger didn't have his "A" game on Sunday. He has had a good year in general with 5 wins, but he has been a bit erratic by his standards after the surgery....I bet he wins at least 2 majors next year.
Vickers won, that's Sweet, good for him
Not a great run for Smoke though, it's cause I didn't watch.

Yay! http://www.nascar.com/2009/news/head...ske/index.html

I kind of feel bad being happy that someone is out of a job, but damn Stremme has been playing bumper cars out there lately. Plus Brad K seems like a good guy.
Yea, it's sort of weird. I mean, it seemed like he was destined for the 5 car, cuz how much longer will Mark be there? I guess this sort of answers it, as it will be at least 2 years or so. We know Marks back next year, I think if it was only another year, Brad would have waited/continued basically what he's doing now.
Gonna be tough moving from the team with the best stuff out there, to a mid-level team. But yea, sucks big time losing your ride, but I'm not exactly sad to see Stremme go either. There is only some many "bad driver" slots, and Robby Gordon fills a couple of those

Anyway, 2 hours to go before argubly the best race of the year!

Fun is about to start!!!! This is going to be fun and let's have a quick guess on how many cautions are we going to see?
I'm saying 21 (that's a lot, but doable) hehehe. Wish I was there, you lose your hearing for a few days and your ears have a semi-permanent ring in them. Worth it though.

I'm going with 18

Ok all you Kyle Busch haters, you have to admit he raced Mark very clean and was over gracious in his interview after.
I'm really starting to like Marcus Ambrose, that dude is easy to root for.

??? Martin was the one in position to knock Busch out of the way and didn't. Busch did say all the right things after the race. Martin could have punted him and didn't.

Did anyone see Kyle's interview after the Nationwide accident? Chase Austin did one of the stupidest things I've ever seen by a 'professional'
and took Kyle out of the race. Kyle goes into the trailer, and about 7-10 minutes after gives a frighteningly calm interview. Like Kyle had to take some prozac or val!um or something.
Definitely easy to like Ambrose. Any road racer in Nascar gets a couple automatic points in my book.
Nascar look-a-like photos coming later today too

I did not set my DVR to go beyond the set time, so of course I missed the last 8 laps. Had to watch the last 4 laps online. When DJ was saying that Mark would have to tap Kyle to get by him I knew that Mark would not do that.

Gotta love Marcos Ambrose eh?!
Sounds like I need to go looking for some interviews tomorrow when I have time.

Watch the interviews Scotts?
So I can't sleep and made these up, found it funny. A couple Nascar driver look-a-likes.

Anyone has any, add 'em!
Scott Speed and Zack/Cody (Disney spawn)

Brad Keselowski and Abraham Lincoln

Marcos Ambrose and Camilla Belle (from opening scene of Jurassic Park 2 and When a Stranger Calls)

Dude, you are definitely a motorhead. Sounds like you will watch anything race that has wheels on it.

Those look a-likes you posted are pretty funny
and a little bit scary too. I mean Marcos looks like a chick.

For some reason that reminds me, I was in Vegas one time at the Sahara (I think) and they had indy car simulators. I saw one person drving and thought they were pretty good, not spinning out and/or crashing like the other people. When the race was over this 12 year old girl gets out of the simulator.

LOL, yea, a bit to the dismay of family/friends, I watch a ton of racing. With the advent of the DVR, there's just that much more to watch. From CORR off-road trucks, to F1, to West Coast Customs, to NASCAR... With football season now, the problem is gonna be recording 4-5 hours of HD nascar programming, really digging into hard drive space. Gonna have to cut some saved Entourage/Dexter shows.
My brother and I said the same thing about Marcos when I showed him them before I posted, it's a bit creepy how close the similarities are. I've really been trying for a Kyle Busch look-a-like, but haven't found any....
Yea, I LOVE going to the arcades with the mutli-car racing setups. So many people think they can drive, and they usually get lapped by lap 5. Though I won't publicly admit how many hours in have into console/computer driving games

Well this sucks! http://www.nascar.com/2009/news/head...ame/index.html
Oh I know that everyone has their time and Bobby has not been exactly burning up the top of the leaderboard lately. But I always think of him as doing really well at Atlanta. You know when you think Pocono you think of Denny, at Atlanta I always think Bobby. So replace him after Atlanta.

Not to mention keeping little Busch out
Congrats
Gotta say Busch has really got his act together this year PR wise. He was pretty cool in the post race interview.

Congrats to RBR and Brian for getting in the Chase. It was an awesome race to watch, Richmond is the perfect venue.

Very few things are as persuasive as a 'sit down' with Coach Gibbs I bet.

:) thanks guys, really appreciate it!
JD Gibbs already has a very persuasive talk with drivers. Coach Gibbs doesn't get involved much any more.
I loved watching that race and was jumping up and down and praying in front of the TV for the last 11 laps.
