Oh two more things,
Did anybody hear why they held Kasey in the pits?? I only caught it when it happened, but Kasey said they thought they cleared the pace car. Fantastic Nascar move, hold a car with a dead clutch

And asked this last week and didn't get anything, but does anyone else's TV service have the live polls during the race? Not the Nascar/Cingular ones, but our local cable, Bright House Networks and Sprint paired up and some general stuff. One was a question about which Owner has the most wins. Wondering if anyone else watched the race live and saw them? Only problem is they're so quick to pop up and leave, I missed the first one finding the remote.

JT, I will admit I kept comparing Jimmie and Jeff during the race.
Bobby Labonte just killed me!! Started 4th, spun. Was still hanging in there around 20th, then the ole SSD went off and he was out of the race. Finished 40th.
Knight. We don't have any of those polls out here. That's pretty funny though that you missed the first one looking for the remote.

Yea, one of the polls was which NASCAR owner had the most wins, Rick Hendrick, Richard Childress, or Joe Gibbs. They show the answers and the percentages everyone voted. 47% voted for Hendrick, but the correct answer was Childress (which I voted for) with 147 wins.

Acording to the anouncers they were just gathering up the field before they let him back on the track. They said it only help him back 4 spots.

I thought that he had taken some anger management classes, but that was redicluous. And the interviewer was so cool about it, trying to play it off. I don't see how his fans even like a guy that treats someone else in that manner. I'm sure he will look back at the tape and regret it, then maybe apologize to the guy, then do again next time something makes him mad.
Horse crap, you just got wrecked when you were going to finish in the top 5 and then some washed up announcer that is on TNT (Terrible Nascar Television) doesn't let it go when Tony was bowing out and not ripping Harvick when harvick clearly messed up. I'm no Tony fan, think he is a bit of a prick but not on that interview. I would have done the same thing.

Then I'd cut your TV time too

Agree about how he was probably feeling at the moment. Agree that the interviewer was asking the same question, just in a different way. Even agree that TS is a bit of a prick. But I just think that was disrespectful. There are many other words he could have chosen, and ways he could have put it, but he was making a point to talk to him like a child and embarrass the guy on national tv.

True, there definitely could have been better words chosen. But if Tony was actually trying to make a case it, and say look, 'don't ask me this stupid questions,' then I can stand behind that. There's no point for these reporters to try and stir stuff up (let that happen on its own
). Their job is to be on national TV. If they put themselves out there to look like an idiot, who's fault is that really?

He chose NOT to pick a fight with Harvick, then the guy was trying to goad him on. And how is asking the same question a different way not treating someone like a child? The guy was trying to get a jucy soundbite to repeat over and over, I don't blame tony at all for getting ticked and calling the guy out, who doesn't matter.

Coming from the perspective of a "fan" watching the sport, on TV, I'd say that it's the interviewers job to run over to the guy who was just up front and got wrecked, and it's his job to ask the question 20 times, in any way he can, in an attempt to get the answer that we (the viewers) are looking to hear. Afterall, we all wanted his response to what just happened (and we got it...he's pissed). Tony's anger management training did help him hold back from slamming another driver, but he just couldn't resist demeaning someone before getting out of there. I wouldn't care if it was Jr. or another driver that I really like, I wouldn't condone him mouthing off at the guy who is putting your face, team, and sponsor on the screen in front of millions of people.

So you don't have any problem with people badgering you every day trying to milk some incendiary comment out of you, so he can run around take your comment and blast it for everyone to run around to harvick and say oh Tony said this, what do you ahve to say about it. It is like dealing with little school girls someone you just have to tell them to booger off.

Well to be fair, I doubt these reporters are living off Ramen noodles themselves. So what if it was David Gilliland that was wrecked, the reporter would have asked the same question. He certainly doesn't make the millions that Tony makes.....

I think the problem with this whole deal was in the way Tony delivered the response. He could have said something completely different and still refuse to respond to the question. What he said was disrespectful. He has been around long enough to know that he will get questions thrown at him from all sides especially when an accident happens that he is involved with. it's nothing new to him.

Maybe he was getting tired of being ignored. Honestly, when i say something, then someone rephrases the question and repeats hoping for a different answer it is one of my biggest pet peeves.
1. Because you didn't listen the first time or are ignoring what I said and that really ticks me off.
2. Because you are insulting my intellegence by thinking you'll fool me the second time.
3. And I just don't like to repeat myself, because of the first two reasons.
And in this case, because
3. you know he is going to play tattle tail and run over to harvick and play the he said she said game. I hate games.

LOL...i normally set my team on the monday after the race...that way i dont forget to do it...im trying to mix things up in my selections...but every week it still seems that i cant pick a winning team...the only week that i had the highest points in our group was the same week that digi and i picked the same drivers...so i have never actually won a week outright...

EDIT: but on the plus side...i am in still in second place...

That is OK, so did Spidey.
Sorry guys.
They really need to add a feature where yahoo will txt you or something before the deadline before the dead line.
Think last weeks performance may have affected my memory to set this week's teams, really didn't care to see the 70 or so points I got for last week.......

Think I'll be alright, RCR usually does good at Loudon, Newman is strong there too, and Jr. but I'm not going to burn his final turn up yet. Flip of the coin for either Menard or Kvapil... (not really...)
