need new mh bulbs

what is everyone running for mh ?i have 3 250 watt 15000k now
i was thinking going 14000k but open to suggestions .i plan to start adding sps ,i have alot of shrooms,polyps and lps now .do you think maybe 10000k?

radium 20ks, much whiter than everyone thinks. or for a cheaper option with AWESOME coloration. aquamaxx 14k. i can post up a pic if you'd like of aquamaxx

I took this picture yesterday of my friends tank. left side is Aquamaxx 14k and right side is Reefbrite 20k/20k Twin Arc.
no supplmental lighting whatsoever. you can see, the sand bed is still crisp white with great coloration

NIKE.....do you just not like Phoenix??? Are you saying you get better results with these other bulbs? Mine are not due to be changed until December....so I have lots of time to see and listen

I just think pheonix is really really really overrated. The same guy's tank above has a frag system hooked up to the display sytem and runs pheonix 14k bulbs for it, so same water paramaters and conditions. If i were to take a pic of his frag system, the colors are just totally different. the green birdsnest has a more white coloration rather than a neon green coloration. like i've said over and over again, pheonix washes colors out

HMMMM....well I may be interested in trying something else out next time.....what have I got to lose....LOL...like I said, I have till Decemeber

whew just go home,we had a house fire fully engulfed when we got there.put that out,then a field tree fire put that out .then a 3 car pile up with 3 people going in an ambulance to the hospital.i am beat.
i was thinking 14000k ,i will look at the bulbs online tomorrow.thanks everyone

another question.i have double ended bulbs but mostly what i find are bulbs that look like they have a white ceramic cylinder end.i dont have that type.mine have flat pieces like ears .not sure by looking at pics what to get.anyone know the specific name difference between the two types so i can google it?

no arent those the screw in ones? the double ends are different the cylinder ceramics go into a spring like set up and mine push in.

I am running Pheonix 14K's right now, and there is a definite difference between their 150 watt 14K and their 250watt 14K. I HATE the 150 watt version.
I wish I could find the site, but there is someone who has a picture of the same tank under different brand bulbs and different Kelvin ratings. I'm on my phone or I'd search for it.

i believe the end is something that you can take off the bulb. I'm not too sure but it should just be the HQI attachment, might be wrong though. maybe call up one of the lfs to find out like franks tanks or something

i have seen franks tanks online but never been there.is it worth the trip?if i need something in a pinch i go to the true percula.its a 45 minute ride for me i think franks is a bit closer if i remember right.i found a place for the mh bulbs 14000k.
