New 45 Gallon Tank what to do?!

thanks guys i think it's pretty cool too.
i hope it can be a den for the wartskin in the future

im going to be adding some more LR today ill also post parameters

hope you guys like the dinosaur tank lol

try to add all the LR your going to add in one shot . The die off can keep nitrates high . So try to get the amount you want in there and get the cycle over . Then you can add small amounts as needed .

so i added more live rock about 15 lbs and did some tests
- PH = 8.4
- Nitrite = 0.25
- Nitrate = 20
- Ammonia = 0.25
- Temperature = 79' F



Question:
how are my parameters so far??

when everythings good to go ill buy 4 chromis and go from there i might not end up getting the wartskin my girlfriend says its too dull
she wants something more colorful
any suggestions?

Well that depends on how attached to the GF you are ?

I would sugest a mantis shrimp lots of color and activity as well as aggresiveness . the cromies would be toast though as well as any non aggresive tankmates . A fuzzy dwarf lion possibly ?

i love my girlfriend
the tank i have now is glass so i cant do the mantis. and nothing poisonous my girlfriend would freak out every time im near my tank

any other suggestions??
Ccampbell you got any other great combos? still plan on getting the golden angelfish unless you got another combo in mind?

The common belief is that they will fight...but some have done this with good results. Regardless, it is your tank and your final decision with opinions on both sides :)
Have you thought about blacking out the back of your tank in order to cover up or blend in the equipment in and on your tank?

I kind of like seeing the back of the tank. so i can see through the back if anything is hiding. i was going to add a reef background or a black back ground.
let me know what i should do? black, reef or no background?
