Very nice!
Glad you went and picked up the lights! They'll open a lot more possibilities then what you had before.
Also, don't get discouraged by some of the people on this board. Some people just open their mouth and don't know when to stop.
And yes fishkiller I'm talking about you. He clearly said last night he was going to pick up the PC lighting today and you still had to flame him the way you did. No need to write back with your incoherrent messages...just keep it to yourself.
It's better to keep your mouth closed and let people think your an idiot, then to open it and remove all doubt.

Congratulations on the pc's. The corals you have should do fine with them. It's obvious you are trying to do the right thing by your tank. Very nice shot of the hammer:D FWIW I've had a fox coral that had tissue recession in an area and EVERYBODY I showed it to said it would whither away. About 10 months later it's still beautiful, still has the same area of recession but no more and when it's fully open you can't even tell.

First off- Sqishy, No need to feel stupid. I was simply trying to motivate this guy to do the the right thing, to provide the right conditions for his corals. 1, I hate to see such nice specimens die from lack of knowledge and laziness. 2, I also hate to see people get discouraged from this hobby so easily when it could have been so easily avoided. So IMO, you need to read more carefully.
Azonic- Only an idiot would seriously take offense to what I said. First, you are wrong for saying that he had ALREADY SAID he was getting the pc's. He said "WITH ANY LUCK". That did not sound very promising. To me, he did not sound like he was too serious about buying the lights, but more like he was trying to shut us up. Like I said before, I just wanted to make sure he was motivated enough to follow through. You may attempt to bury my remarks (advice) w/ your witty little quotes (which you may want think more over before you say them), but you are wasting your time, as I am right now. People like you are a little too sensitive for debates like this.
Powdertoastman- Good job! I'm glad you got the lights. It will pay off, and you'll get so addicted to this stuff. You think your broke now? lol My reef tank is like crack, every last extra dollar that is not going to bills, food, or gas goes in my tank. I have gone hungry a few times b/c my tank needed calcium or salt or new bulbs. There is always something. Anywayz, glad to hear all is well so far. Didn't mean to burn you too bad earlier, but that is the only way to REALLY get people to listen to you. And you gotta see it from my point of view also, I work at a lfs, and I see people buying crap every day that WILL NOT survive in their tanks, and it pisses me off to no extent. People WHO REALLY UNDERSTAND, APPRECIATE and RESPECT these creatures would probably react the same way if they were not afraid of being judged by others.... AZONIC!! The "be nice" approach does not cut it today. I have a hammer also, about the size of a cantelope. It's pretty cool. It is a very good indicator of water quality and conditions, so pay attention to it. Here is another little piece of advice- Don't pay attention to the number of posts each member has on the board. Just b/c somebody has 1,000 or more posts does not mean they will give you good advice, granted there are some on here w/ a lot of posts that know more about this stuff than any human should, but then there are people on here that have about 200 fish or coral related posts, and the rest are gabby, unrelated threads like "what movie should I see"..... So listen to the mods mostly and you'll find out who knows their stuff.

and i used to work for a shipping place like UPS or fedEX, lol trust me, you dont want to ship lighting through the mail, i know.
i have to disagree with this statemtnt....i got my lighting setup through the mail and nothign was borke...and if you buy your lights at a lfs, they still have to get them shipped to them/? so whats the worry?
good luck
jon

yea i understand that everyone has to get them shipped to them, be it LFS, your home, or whatever, but my point is, when you goto a LFS, if its broke when they get it, they deal with it, you dont have to fight with whoever you ordered it from, and if you got it off ----, that could be a huge problem. we used to get about 10 to 25 lights anight when i worked doing shipping, and at least 5 of them out of 25 or so got broke, even with padding in there, and they would still ship it to the person who ordered it, even though we knew it was broke. just something to think about when getting stuff offline is all :)
as far as everyone who helped us with all this, i want to thank you all. im not trying to start a flame war, but if you dont have anything nice to say, just keep it shut. i tend to listen to people who are nicer then mean to get there point across. people that take time and help you NICELY, seem like they care more, and are not just there to yell and make you fell 2" tall. but to the ones that took time to help, thanks again. :)

fishkiller: Why would you reply to him with a thumbs down and that smilie?
The guy noticed his mistake and tried his hardest to rectify it, which he did!
Do you ever have anything positive to say?

I gave advice. My approach was different, and you people bash me for it. The thumbs down was b/c he thanked everybody who was "nice", and said some negative crap directed towards me. IF you people actually read my past couple posts here, you would see that I have been curtious towards him. YOU are the one stinking up the room here. I was disappointed that he did not appreciate my help. The eyes rolling face was b/c I KNEW you were going to jump in and grace us w/ your opinions. Don't waste your time again and write another cheap stab. I can't stand people that freak out about the slightest thing and don't let it go. That's all... I find no reason to say anything else to you.....

LoL. If ya can't take the heat, get outta the kitchen!
You didn't offer any advice that wasn't already offered in the thread before your post. You approached it the wrong way. What did you expect him to thank you after the ribbing you gave him?

Powdertoastman- Despite your opinion of me, I'm glad you did the right thing. Good luck!
Azonic- I did not claim that I offered advice. I was ENFORCING everybody else's advice. Got it? Jeez! You need a vacation..
