u know what u could do for lighting is on one side have bright lighting and put corals that need it over there and on the other side not so bright lighting for the corals that dont need it...might look kinda weird though...

Bronco, if I were you, I'd cut out some of the canopy so you can put a pendant 250 watt halide on each side. Then, I'd do a TON of SPS and zoanthids, and stuff. Wouldn't it be sweet to watch fish swim from one tank to the other?

It would be cool if you could put it through a wall and have 1 tank on either side. Also, you could put corals that need high flow into the one connected to the sump and low flow corals in the other.

hhhm, you could do an east meets west kinda thing.... for example, keep carribean stuff in one side and australian stuff in the other.

Sounds like a good idea, it just has some flaws. The corals, you could do(as you said, do carribean on one side, and pacific on the other), but fish could swim back and forth between the two tanks. So, coral wise, it would work, but fish wise it wouldnt.

Woah, that is glorious. *jealousy ensues* Congratulations.
Maybe if you wanted you could just put the xenia in one of the tubes so that way the fish will definitely use the other, if they don't want to go through it.
