New Reef Tank Progression (Pics)

ya but i thought some kind of gloves can kill like the whole tank lol. anyways, i ended up just rinsing most of them beacause thats what the instructions that it came with said to do. "rinse" "put in tank" "scrub off die-off" so now I'm placing them in the tank, pictures will come soon.

ya I can't wait to see what it looks like once it clears up either, I couldn't really tell what I was doing when i put the rock in, i just attempted to stack it nicely in a upside U type of pattern lol. I took the powerhead out, and im having some company over to swim for like 3 hours so after they leave ill put them back in because it should have settled enough by then.

Man some of the rock was sharp, now some of my fingers have like real small cuts or something, not visable, just hurts a little, like a paper cut do'h

lol yeah it looks better then I expected. Its an AquaC Remora, supposvly out skimms every other skimmer in tests. I haven't run it yet but its on the tank, I need to get more water, the live rock didn't raise it up much and I used my last bucket of saltwater for the rock rinsing. Tommrow morning like noon I'm going to get more water, then I might start running my skimmer because it has an extra box that has room for filtration media that should help this sand. what should i put in there? carbon filter? sponge? etc..?

The sheet said if your adding to a tank without invertebraes, coral, or fish (aka an empty tank) to just rinse it. I rinsed it and scrubbed it with a toothbrush that I use for fish stuff. Half way through my hands started stinging so I just rinsed them from there on like the sheet said. All the extra sand and stuff came off. It says after you rinse them to put them in your tank and everyonce in a while scrub off white die-off. There was minimal die-off on the pieces to begin with so I was very pleased.

since this rock looks so good, I think I'm going to have to order some type of fish online soon! I can't wait :joy: :joy: :joy: I might order live stuff from this site, free shipping if you do $79 + or wutever, and I heard the more you order you can get free stuff. A guy ordered about 10 times and they gave him a choice of free stuff and he chose a free puffer!
