the coral banded shrimp is a highly territorial invertebrate. when the fishes come close, he'll chase and snap at them. the fishes reaction is to swim away, but when theres a limited space, theres only more space if you jump up instead of straight. you'll be getting tons of jumpers that way

I find myself being just curious more than most but I have to ask you just one question......... Do you research the stock you want to get before you buy them? Enquiring minds want to know.
Many of these "issues" you are writing about are in books, online, and such. It would seem to me, maybe just me, that some of this could be,..... or whats the word I'm serching for here..... oh yes, avoidable.
However, I can understand some criiters are different and act different than others, firm believer, but nonethless who would put a coral bandit in a 10G tank? With edibales,.... er uhm ....fish?
I'm not testing you or being pissy with ya, just throwing out a question. Keep in mind no one is perfect, well there are a small few on SWF even so, they have years experience and have done their research.
With all this said....... bye

I have one suggestion. For a cover for your 10 gal, they make one that fits a 10 gal tank that is screen. its for people who keep reptiles or in my case, hampsters. it fits tight onto the tank. I got it at pet supermarket.

To others that do care: I'll prob return him when he gets bigger and get a goby and pistol combo now that i know where to get it!!!!
In this hobby do fish just go mysteriously go missing? Not just in the tank with the bandit! One fish jumped i think and yes the smaller chromis might have gotten eating...lol its the circle of life....

the small sections around your filter need something there. maybe cut up some acrylic and glue it. because theyll certainly find those holes
