Severely Malnourished, It will be a great story to bring him back, Lots and lots of greens, all food soaked in VITACHEM, fresh garlic and Selcon and you could bring him back from the brink..

and wow, I'm surprised it can even swim - he's got no fins!!
Good for you though. Many wouldn't risk it for fear of infection on such a weak fish. Good job. Best of luck!

Yellow tangs are really the damsels of the tang world, the hardiest of the bunch. Good luck bring him back from the brink. I was thinking to suggest some type of medication, but I think just good water and good fish for now. Any meds probably would burn constantly like iodine on a flesh wound. As Hefner said, keep a very close eye for infections/diseases that could spread.

Only have a Royal Gramma and a Clarki clown in the tank with him and the don't mess with him. When he was eating you could see his side growing.I was so happy to see him eating because I know that he wants to live made me feel good that I took the chance on him.Worried about his face because it's almost white but looks like he has regained alittle colour back all we can do is wait.

Be sure to feed him as often as possible and maybe leave an algae sheet in the tank so he can nibble any time he pleases. Good luck!
Does he have fin rot or was he just being torn up by something?
