Carlos, Please take this with a grain of salt as I don't have a large tank, I don't have a sumpfuge. But in looking at this picture it would seem to me you bubble trap is not getting a chance to work. In my understanding the water should flow over the first baffle on the right, then under the center baffle, then over the last baffle on the left. all of that should allow the bubbles to dissipater prior to entering the section where the return pump is.

I could be all wet here (hee hee I made a joke!) but maybe something to look at. The water is flowing directly over all of the baffles and directly to the return area, no chance for the bubbles to go anywhere but to the returen.

i know what you mean Henry but the water isnt going over the baffles. its way off the top. yes baffles stops the bubbles but i have like little super tiny bubbles. if you look at the pic above (in the top right corner) those are the bubbles that continue to the sump. the bigger ones stop. they told me i should be running a 400-500gph pump. so if i add a ball valve and put it half way will it work?
if you see here

the bubbles even are created in the overflow. my bro in law has the same overflow but for a 55g with a 400gph pump and thats not created. its a soft drop. so in my beliefs and the lfs the pump is the main concern now.
when i put my finger in the last baffle in the sump the current is really strong. so you think its the pump?
you think a ball valve will work?

I am concerned about the amount of bubbles coming from your overflow into the sump and allowed to flow through the slot in the baffle from the first section into the fuge. Not sure I have ever seen a design like that and don't quite understand it. But the bubbles have absolutely now place to dissipate. They travel directly from there, through the fuge and over the final baffles into the return section.
I think the center baffle before the return pump is not high enough. Try taking a pc. of plastic or glass and hold it there to extend the center glass up to the top of the sump tank. What I am saying is force the water to go under the center baffle instead of letting it go over it. See if this stops the bubbles from getting to the pump and into the display.
If that doesn't work, should not be much trouble to put a valve on the return line and throttle it down some to see if it helps I guess.

got it! but henry i know it looks like the water is going over the baffles but its not. i pass my fingers over it and nothing. its not wet.
the reason it looks so high is cause the water from the pump is so much going to the main tank. when it goes down the overflow to the fuge its a lot of water instead of being what it needs to be. if it was a slow pump this conversation wouldnt be happening lol

Okay, throttle the pump back and see what happens I guess. Why did you design the fist section and the fuge section baffle that way in stead of puttin in three like the other side?
