question.
yesterday my xenias were pumping like this
now today when they pump they dont close the whole way. they go half way. can that be cause i move the stuff around? is that normal? i want them to go back how they use to in the pic above. maybe cause of the moving they got a little angry?
please help anyone

Yeah they are PO'd. Like if your parents moved you from Miami to say Buffalo New York where they get 96 inches of snow per year.
Flow may be different, lighting may be different, they may just be mad at the handling they have gone through. Give them a while and let them settle in. If they don't go back to normal in a few days think about where they were before, what light and flow they were getting, then try to move them to a place that mimics that original place.

think about it, can't be the same as you have moved the rock around and created different currents within the tank and possibly different shadow or light penetration where the coral now is. And yes it can be they have been handled and will take time to adjust. Just leave them be for a couple of days and let them reacclimate.

no prob. and yeah thats the truth, im taking my time with this one. oh yeah, i noticed you live in miami. i went to fgcu this fall but had to end up coming back to md. you go to school anywhere down there or plan on it?

lol yeah florida gulf coast university. just wondering cause i was in miami alot when i was down there. but wow thats crazy, im majoring in marine bio too
