When I re-did my tank it was super cloudy (much much worse than yours). I added the filter sock to the drain line and poof in like 30 min my water was noticeably clearer. I cleaned the sock 2 or 3 times before the water was clear enough to add stuff. But it only took like 3 hours. I was amazed.

this is how i run my lights. before my actinics come on, i run the moon lights for 30min. then the actinics come on and the moonlight shut off. the actinics stay on for an hour and then the halides come on. then the halides go off, hour later the actinics, and 30mins later the moonlights.
moonlights 1:30-2:00pm
actinics 2:00-11:00pm
Halides 3:00-10:00pm
moonlights 11:00-11:30pm

So from 11:30pm until 1:30pm your marine tank is without light? I read in an article that even at night the ocean isn't completely dark because it is illuminated by the moon.

well in RR told me that i cant run wavemakers with Koralia.
this is what they told me:
you can't run any wavemakers with koralias. hydor makes a wavemaker now, and you'll need to buy their new line of pumps to use with it. none of their pumps will work with the traditional wavemakers like the wavemaster pro.
modded/unmodded mj's is a better idea for this.
so i guess ima look at the Hydor wavemaker
Came in a tad late on this.... I run my K4's on the wavemaker from my RK2.. Spoke with a few people from hydor and it wont hurt them.. granted it just turns them on and off.. Cant adjust the flow rate or anything like that.. they rattle a tad when they refire but you can cut a small peice of airline tubing and slide it into the hole at the end of the bell where the shaft slides in and it eliminates the rattle...

So your using natural sun light? how long have you been doing this and do you have problems with alga blooms because your tank is in front of a window?
yes. everytime before my lights come on they get sunlight. all my tanks get sunlight. ive been doing this for 3 years. this is my first 90g reef tank. the others one have been nano. the algae bloom is really part of a cycle. mostly every tank gets it. so its not cause of the sunlight.

in the morning the left side of my tank gets sunlight, and i have to clean that side of algae everytime, you can tell what spot gets the direct sunlight.
