Well I tried to scrape off the coraline but that sht is stuck on there! I am thinking of selling the purple and green candy cane coral at the local fish store, what do you think I should ask for it? I am going to replace it with a large rock to fill in the cave and put more sps there! I am going to pick up a paradise birdsnest to replace it!

Hi,
Love the look of your tank and actually it looks alot like mine, which is devoted to Sps's and I also can not identify the one acro you are have problems identifing. I also I am going to up grade the lighting systems and try a 150 w pheonix, I hear it makes a significant difference. I added a CPR medium refugium with a Tunze 9002 skimmer and have had good results. What additives are you using and what is your live stock beside the corals, sorry if I missed it earlier. Also running a west coast 1/15 chiller at 78 and wondering if thats too low for my duncans which seem to be the only coral that seems not quiet happy. I will post some pics in the future. Thank you for your presentation of your tank. Cheryl Jordan

Thank you very much, I'm so grateful for the nice comments!!! How did the refugium go? I have been kicking that idea around forever! I ended up just putting in more a/c in the office and directing airflow to the tank and it stays at 78, even all summer. At night the programmable zoned a/c keeps the room at 77 so it's always +/- 78 Get some pics up Chery!!!!

Not hard at all. It is very happy where I have him. It usually extends it's tenticles when it is ready to eat and I just squirt phytoplex on him. That's all there is to it. I am looking to trade him out for something though I don't know how much longer I will have it. Very easy out of all the corals too.

this is a newb question but what is phytoplex and how often do you feed him..?

It's pretty good stuff. Here is the link to it!

They used to sell it from here but I haven't seen it in a while. I usually feed it directly to the duncans, scolymia, acans, sun corals and dendros. They love it. I also add iodide about twice a week.

and also take turns every 3 days with this stuff.

Of course you can't just set a solid stone schedule you have to test the water almost every other day or every day until you see how your tank reacts along with the corals. The doses I use vary so it's hard to list everything used.

So I did some remodeling last night and I'm very pleased with the results. I will post pictures today when I get home. It's always the same damn cycle though, move stuff around, pleased with work done, want more stuff! It seems like it costs me $100 every time I put my hands in the water!

I know the feeling, we're always moving things around, and now that we upgraded to a 155G, we spend almost $300 every time we walk into the LFS!!!!! I'm going to need to get a third job.
