totally agree with you on the flat pack mysis vs. cubes. Don't know why, but the flat packs we buy seem to be better quality. Plus we use so much it is just easier,
My parents bought a short sale property in FL this spring. I took over 6 months to get the house. It took about 5 months to get much response from the bank and then it went quickly. Not sure why they call it a "short sale" lol. Part of what slowed theirs down was the bank sold the loan to another bank in the middle. very frustrating! They were ready to buy something else but it all worked out and they got a great house for a great price. Hopefully yours will be worth the wait and you will hear something soon. hang in there.

Hang in their Nova.....it will be over before you know it
I think next time I order food, I will get some PE mysis for my horses....maybe I will give them the smaller for one meal, and the PE for the other

Some pics, as promised. My new Chalice frag:

Green Daisy Polyps. Still only half opened, but should fill in nicely soon enough:

And a FTS.....

One more. I drew up the plans for the new stand in CorelDraw, then imported the cropped FTS image to go where the tank belongs. The result is:

The tank is going into the corner, so the side units you see here are triangular so I can tuck the whole thing as far back into the corner as I can. This way it will only be 33 inches away from the corner. Also, even though the corner units will be full built cabinets, the main unit will actually just be a thin-skinned cover that slides right over the existing stand. Don't need to reinvent the wheel here.....just make it prettier.

That looks like a real plan, I wish I wqs handy...I hope you get your place soon so you can post the pictures..

I really like the flowers, are planning on keeping that design, or are you just putting it there to save the space for effect?

@Meowzer: No, this hasn't left the computer yet. Depending on when I hear about the house, it will be started in as little as two weeks, as many as 6. Since the main unit is just a skin that slides over the existing stand, I can have the tank in the room and add the rest around it.
@Flower: No, that's not just a space saver....there will be some sort of cherry blossom art on the doors for the cabinets. Whether that art is pre-printed or not has yet to be decided. I really like these that I found online!

Wow, awesome looking, I can only hope for my tank to look half as nice. Good Luck with the cycle and hope it goes fast for you. I have heard of using a shell for a feeder, and I like the way you have set yours up.
Thanks for the pic's and yes I know i owe you all some.

LOL what'd ya do, read page one? You've got 14 more to go, chappy!
This tank is going on 18 months now.
Not much to report, despite a two week lull. Seahorse, goby, and both mandarins are doing well. Did a water change on Saturday, removed a little cyano that's cropping up, but other than that we're still firmly in maintenance mode. I'm not sure I like the flow from the K2's, even though they're on a timer I still worry about the flow. I'm tempted to go back to multiple new-generation K1s, but I really don't want to have more than 2 powerheads in the tank.

....Totally, completely, and 100% off topic, but.....
The short sale approval FINALLY came back from the seller's lender last Friday! We've been scrambling to get everything in, because the package HAS to be in to underwriting by 2pm tomorrow. If everything goes smoothly** we'll be in our new place by early August, and the seahorse tank will probably be moved in by the end of August!!!!
** OK, so I'm not expecting a smooth ride. Why should it be? It's been nothing but bumps and curves up until this point!!

WE CLOSE ON FRIDAY!!!!

Oh, and one more

Krista, I think you proved me wrong. One can have too many dancing bananas. But thanks for the sentiments, I appreciate them.

*smacks hands together and rubs vigorously*
NOW
. We can get to the process of making the new stand!!!
