shows how bigoted people are... and how essentially un-american the whole concept of the notion that Obama is muslim therefore shoud not be president...
This is a country that we are told regardless of your gender, color, religion, or orientation that you can be whoever you want...
That we have the freedom to believe in whatever religion we choose.
Its the very people who claim to be the most patriotic whom are the ones that practice the most unpatriotic ideals. Hypocritical to say the least

If you look at his family...wife and daughters... it should be clear he is not muslim... anybody who knows anything about the Islamic faith would know that he is not muslim..

Oh come on, the guy isn't a muslim. There are too many legitimate reasons to oppose him. Leave the phony BS attacks to the Democrats.
By the way, if you hit on groupers link to youtube check out the side pane videos for red state update's video Obama admits he's muslim. Funny stuff right there.
LOL, that's exactly what I'm talking about.
Like I said, that's just a weird slip of the tongue...

Like I said before, I have no problem with the man being Muslim. The same freedom that he enjoys to worship as he pleases allows me to not vote for someone with differing moral values than myself. If he is only pretending to be Christian to gain votes then everyone should be alarmed. Not just Christians. Do American Muslims trust him?
This is not a religious issue. It is a matter of trust. And I, for one, do not.
I also want to be perfectly clear that I do not trust John McCain either so please don't think I'll be defending him any time soon.

Rylan, you're a Christian. I'm sure you obey the Great Commission and share your faith.
How many times have you said you're a muslim?

How did this turn from the topic of the dire need for our world leaders to use myspace, to the topic of religious affliation?
But since religion was brought up... I made my choice for McCain back in the primaries when James Dobson(sen?) said he would never vote for McCain. I figured if that guy hated McCain that much, he must be doing something right. Unfortunately he changed his tone due to the pretty lady VP but atleast I know it is eating at him inside to support McCain.
I kind of wish we would elect an Atheist president.

again I think he may have meant 57 contests... meaning there are 7 territories in addition to the 50 states that vote for the primaries.

Then explain why he said he hadn't been to alaska and Hawaii, wouldn't that put the total he traveled up to 59? And when did he visit puerto rico before that statement was made and the virgin islands.

I actually disagree with ya on this one Beth.
France and Germany both elected PM's who ran on a pledge to restore their relations with the USA. Much of Eastern Europe is very fond of the President. China went to the table with us to deal with N. Korea.
Time and history will judge this president. He will be remembered that is for certain. I agree that, while everyone likes to emphasize Bush's shortcomings or the Iraq War issue, there have been things that have happened under his watch that is very positive. As you said, Eastern Europe comes to mind, NKorea issue, even the War on Terror (minus Iraq).
Never mind that Bush spends money like a drunken sailer on a Sat. night...lol McCain used that old Navy reference recently. My dad was an old Navy Salt and I remember he'd say that about my mom sometimes.

Out of fareness, imo 7 years into it, Iraq looks pretty good for bush. They are handing stuff over to Iraq to control. If someone had told me going in, that they would be in situation, today, it would have been very good. If you look historically, it is well ahead of the timelines in germany and japan.

Keith Ellingson (I think I have the last name right) Got elected to congress as a muslim. I think if he would have tried to conceal that fact it would have made a huge difference to people. Based on the evidence at hand I think the only thing obama has been less than honest about is that he went to mosque once in a while with his step dad. That doesn't make him a muslim.

You are calling others bigoted then make the idiotic statement at the end of your post? I known a few practicing muslims in my life. So tell me wise and wonderful expert on the muslim faith, exactly what do they look like?

I don't know if the english is correct, but it does correspond with the audible words of the man speaking. Many of the younger folk on here may not remember our dealings with Mumar Qadafi, but I do. His use of the term "dictator" was enlightening to say the least.

Yikes!!! I still remember. Looks like he's still mad about the "wake-up call" he got. Pretty twisted comments, scary if true, but nevertheless, a foreigners point of view. "Our brother, Obama", "All the people in the Arab and the Islamic world an in Africa applauded this man...and they may have been involved in legitimate campaign contributions", "Kennedy was killed because he insisted on monitoring the Dimona plant". "The black man Obama has an inferiority complex...such a feeling would make him behave whiter than white." Sounds like he's mad at Obama and feels betrayed. He does have one thing right though, candidates make promises to get elected but never keep them.
