I think this will be a task once I am more seasoned and knowledgeable if at all. Thank you very much for your information though, that site was interesting. Good luck with your manderins and I hope they stay healthy.

Tank looks awsome. Make sure you post pics of your jawfish once you get it. I just love those fish.

I had a jawfish, it disappeared a few days after adding it, didn't jump, just... vanished.

Maybe its just hiding in its burrow.

no, its.... its gone, ive redone the rockwork several times and I can see all the way around the tank. he was cool while i had him.... also the big clown just died yesterday... so now I'm kinda in the mood where i'm not goin to really care about the tank for a while and just leave it how it is.... the clown had a cut up tail if you cant tell by the pic, im curious if that had anything to do with its death. I did a water change prior to taking tests on the water, but if that were a problem, more than just it would have died.

i was wondering how you did the whole pvc pipe thing (so it is hidden...) and how do you know the pods multiply there....sounds like an ingenious idea...you got my attention
great looking tank

Ok, its gone through some modifications and small idea I've had that would probably help it, I took tiny pvc pipes (not sure what size, my watchman can fit through them, cuz one sticks out and he will go through it sometimes) anyway, I took them and put them in the back of the tank touching the glass and the rock and burried them a tiny bit and then put tiny pieces of rock rubble on top of it and when I seed the tank with tiger pods I put them towards that area where the can refuge better, also I have alot of plants in one area of the tank with pvc running by it. If you stuff the pvc with chaeto then I suspect that would also help. I see the pods, so I assume they multipy, considering the dragonets do eat them, and i never notice them decrease. The other great idea is to hang a soapdish in the top of the tank full of chaeto, probably smarter too. But the keys to my system is plants, rock rubble, and pvc, all of which the dragonets cannot have (easy) access to.
and thank you for commenting on the tank.

Good and I sometimes do stuff like the. Also at my LFS they have 2 dragonets they say are feeding on mysis. I might get one. What do you think.

what kind of dragonet? I'd say if you do then try to get a scooter, personally, they are funner in a small tank and atleast in my experience do take mysis more readily. Also look up the 'soap dish fuge' and just do some minor research. I got lucky with mine and will probably get flamed if i tell someone with a nano to get a dragonet but, if its what you want then do what you feel is best, the scooter is my best buy to date and my favorite fish.
p.s. make them feed them, dont believe them without evidence.

They had a green and a Psychedelic but no scooters. I really like scooters and better than the Mandarins. I also will make them feed because I now they often don't eat and I went on the site you posted and it was useful. Thanks

Well, got a package today from SWF.com so figured it was time to post some updates. I got a pygmy cherub angelfish. It currently is sharing a burrow with my watchman for some reason, but when I took the pics he was just wandering around. I also picked up a lettuce nudibranch (had to get to the $79 limit) and a green ricordea frag. everything was ace except the frag... you'll see why in a second.
I believe the pics go:
full tank shot
shot of the new green ricordea (small aint it?)
shot of ricordeas bought for slightly cheaper at a lfs (bigger?)
and then some random fish stuff i suppose.

awesome tank. i remember when i was 16. no bills just hobby's. back then i was into gas -- cars, but still am tho. anyways hows ur scooter and mandarin doing. i wanted to get them but was told they r hard to feed and need an established tank and my tank just got done cycling. man im a really impatient person. but i rather wait then watch my fish die.
