Newsmax reported today that he now has the lowest approval rating since they started tracking it, even lower than Carter. The problem is, while he would lose to a generic Republican candidate, he still beats any of the current Republican candidates by 5%+. Looks like we will be stuck with him for another 4 years. I just hope that conservatives can take the House and Senate to slow him down. Because if he gets Congress after he is reelected, once the illegals are given amnesty, there will never be another conservative elected president again. We will become a quasi-socialist state like the Europeans.

Republicans should focus on their own candidates, all of whom have a lot of baggage or are just unelectable, rather than worrying about Obama's ratings. I can't believe that the offering the GOP has this election year is the same old tired stuff.

I'm angry about him being a catalyst into making equine slaughter legal in the US again. While, I am not against horse slaughter per se, he totally flip flopped from his prior adamant stance which leaves me scratching my head.
The biggest issue is still the lack of regulation which was absent before which he has discussed as being horrific. Now it's back with no more regulation than before.
I think anyone who eats meat would be a hypocrit to criticize animal slaughter. Why one animal such as a cow or pig is ok and another variety of livestock isn't is rather short sighted. I would rather see a quick death as opposed to the vast overpopulation starving to death in a sandlot somewhere.
The problem comes in that there is no regulation as to how they get to the slaughterhouses, their care during this process, and the time frame. It was not uncommon before for these animals to be injured or die in transit and/or not to be fed or watered for days. There are rules in place for cows, pigs, and even chickens.

Gingrich or Romney either one would be better than 0bama. Romney because I think he'll be able to work with the other side and Newt because the guy has the brain of an intellectual but understands life in the real world, just not sure if he's electable. This America elects sham is going to pretty much guarantee a 4 year extension of 0bama's reign of terror. They'll run a moderate candidate in the swing states which will hand them to 0bama. Conservatives are a lot more willing to vote for something different than Democrats. Ross Perot and Jesse Ventura both proved that.
Just better pray the Republicans have some big gains in a Senate.

problem with the ok on the horse slaughtering is the fact that when it becomes legal alot more people will breed them for money.
by the way one of my horses got excited and kicked me on my hip today.i though it was broken but just seems to be sore as hell.maybe i should make a horse burger out of him.

What really scares me about the horse slaughtering ban, is the lack of regulation involved.

I wouldn't eat an animal with a non-cloven hoof(ask Flower, she can explain it better), but so what there's no regulation? When I get my house done and I move on my acreage and have large animals again, why would I want some brainless bureaucrat telling me how I should butcher one of my animals? I'm sure not going to kill and eat a horse, but it's none of the governments business, if it's not an endangered species, how I (or anyone) butcher an animal. As a farmer and rancher I never wanted to cause my animals to suffer and I guess most folks are like me. And with a horse being a large and strong animal, it would be dangerous to kill them any way but fast and painless. I really have no idea how horses are typically butchered, but think there are a whole lot of other concerns that keep me up at night than that. So if Obama has gone back on his word in that regard, I actually have more respect for him for being open and honest enough to take another look at an issue he was wrong about in the first place.

Comparing a mass scale slaughterhouse to butchering your own animals for you to consume is like comparing apples to oranges. Slaughterhouses need regulation to protect the consumer. Do you buy meat at the grocery store? If you say yes, then you are eating meat that is safer due to the regulation of the slaughterhouses. Look at what was happening in the early 1900's, look what is happening in China. Have you seen how many products get recalled that we import from China due to their improper regulation?

THANK YOU deejeff for bringing this up.....I usually stay out of "the aquarium" cause I gets in troubbe here.....BUT
Current National Debt - 15 trillion - go see the debt clock - - http://www.usdebtclock.org/
The Federal Reserve gave the banks 1.2 trillion (not included in TARP) on Dec 8 2008 - - - in ONE DAY (not a part of the total natl. debt) (Reported 2 days ago on FOX news)
The Federal Reserve has given 7.2 TRILLION to the Eurozone since 2008 to prop up the failing banks in Europe (also not counted as our national debt) (reported last nite on CNBC)
Today the DOW was up 500 pts......cause our FED promised another couple TRILLION
to EUROPE (that we ain't GOT!!)
Omaba, Bernake, & Geithner ALSO have pissed another 10 TRILLION
since 2009 - secretly by giving it to Fannie mae, Freddie Mac, and to "prop up" the stock & housing markets......Wall Street types.....(also not included in debt clock)
Actual current National Debt = more like 35 TRILLION
as of today.....(your share is only $108,000)
The "debt clock" is only off by 125%........current national debt is already more than the GDP of ALL the planets countires......we can never pay it off.
Merry Christmas!
Oh - and Mom is Santa....http://youtu.be/zmQDt7jVdXQ

Really? No fish? No chicken? No Turkey? No Beef? I would have a difficult time giving those up.
A fowl or fish is not the same thing as a large mammal and the conversation was about horses. Also, cows have a cloven hoof-you know, split and not one solid hoof like say...a horse! Here I was trying to stay out of religion. Large animals with a solid hoof are prohibited in the scripture-so donkeys, mules and horses are verboten. I know pigs are too, but man, I love me some bacon and ham.

Ah, more let's use religion as a basis of an arguement, but only the parts I need for the sake of making a point, excluding those that are inconvenient or in this case don't taste good.

Well, again all the ban did was provide the horses one last truck trip to Canada where they would meet the same end.

Ah yeah, right on the beef. But you did say animals. I suppose you meant mammals.
