Well its clear that there is nothing I will say that will change anyones mind but I end with this note: I guarantee you that regardless of how bad of a speller I m, I m not whats wrong with this country(and I got my very small list of achievements to prove it). I m about change for good specially in politics, specially if this change will help the country in which I reside. It is no change at all that forces people like me to move from our native lands in order to survive. It is no change at all that leave many countries with bad economy(financial crisis), political policies, and with most of its people being prosecuted (mostly minority) Obama winning is not me getting my way but rather about CHANGE. And I didnt see that with McCain.

I thought my point was pretty clear .

Or better than that I guess is let's kill unborn babies because we did not do anything to protect against unwanted pregnancy, like maybe abstinence??
I didn't say abortion is a form of birth control. I said a person should have the right to choose. There are certain situations in which I feel an abortion is not an evil choice, and vice versa.
Something wonderful about this country is that we don't all have to buy into the same moral concepts as each other and having them shoved down our throats is not American.
This issue has been debated to death.
Them there abortionists is murderers, hyuck hyuck.

Interestingly, my girlfriend talked to her financial advisor when the economy started to tank and he suggested she move stuff around based on an Obama win, so she did and it's looking pretty good there.

Slavery was abolished in 1865 by the ratification of the 13th Amendment.
Those are some really old, old, old living grandparents...
We are approx 1-2 generations removed from slavery... meaning that no slaves are still alive, but they may have a parent who was a slave.. however this is unlikely... they would have to be 100 years old or so... more likely that we our grandparents and great grand parents are the grandchildren of slaves and former slaves. .. the fact that it occured 140 years ago... doesn't mean that after that day.. everything was equal and that these people were treated as equals... we know that it took another 100 years to have equal rights...
We still have a ways to go, but I am proud of the american people for making their voices clear and heard. We are headed in the right direction, but don't think that this changes everything... there is still much work to do. And it starts with our government... schools... parents ... and the individual.

What a beautiful ending. I have been volunteering for Obama's campaign and was really excited Florida went to him. Feels great to know all my hard work paid off. McCain's speech was very touching, Loved it, God Bless you. Congratulations President Obama....

Sad his Grandmother, Grandfather, Mother, and Father is not here to share this joyful moment with him. God Bless Him and Protect him.
I volunteered too.. congratulations.... I was suprised at the margin in which he won Florida... and in my own state... Ohioans showed up and did what we needed to do.

Does this mean I don't have to hear about racist america any more?
no... this isn't a cure... but its a start...
I had a guy whom I work with who is white... he went to see a customer (business owner) and they were talking about not knowing what they were going to do for the next year.. My co-worker said why...
The business owner proceeded to say that they may have to shut down because Obama may get elected... he then said don't vote for that n-word... and tell all your white friends....
My coworker not really sure how to respond because he too is a Obama supporter... but doesn't want to loose a sale or alienate his customer...
Point is that Obama will be highly criticized from the start... so I hope that my belief in his abilities will come to fruition.. and he will be a great President... and bring us together and help us realize that we share a common goal of a better America... a proseperous America ... a safe America

This really ticks me off, never mind that around 350,000 people died in war fighting to freeing slaves. It isn't good enough. It is just completely asinine. No we need to do more to help the healing.
Heck my family hadn't even imigrated yet. Yet somehow 150 years later these people are still owed something.

The one difference that I see is that we will have the world's support... there was a major shift in attitudes last night around the world... Do you all think Obama will be able to handle Russia, and get them back in line?
How will we have any more world support than we already have?
If you're speaking about Muammar Qaddafi, I don't think we want that kind of support.
