As I watched the news today, I thank God for the right to vote. A few moths ago I posted that if Mclain won I would have moved back to my little poor country( I m glad that is not happining as of now). I urge everyone to calm down, not make this about black and white and to remember to make this country the way it was ment to be.........where the people have the right to voice their opinions with the notion that ones liberty fisnishes when others begin. I guess what Im trying to say is.... Black, White, Chinese or whatever your ethnic is, lets unite and maybe just maybe we will be able to save the reefs.
Thank You,
Ohhh remember........YES WE CAN!

like jesse "nobody" jackson isnt racist? right! there will always be racism in this country its just more and more people dont pay attention to it, as this election showed. when we call a person black were racists, but when a black person calls us a white boy/person its not racist? hows that? theres BET, so if there was a white entertainmnet channel then it would be racist right? yes!. were all equal, slavery was so long ago, its not in excuse to use for "we" deserve more because our race was slaves centurys ago. if obama doesnt hold up to his saying's he wil fall very quickly.

While there will be no convincing many of you, this is actually a great day in American history. completely agree with you as was the other ticketThe country has elected a BRILLIANT, educated man to office. I am sure that he will serve the position with honor and integrity. they all try to do so
I have no doubt that he will hunt down and kill Osama Bin Laden, as promised. he never promised that, we have had him several times in our crosshairs and failed I also have no doubt that he will take the right approach in Iran, talking to a crazy person will not help Obama, remember homosexuals don't exist in his country! Much less reasoning with him about Irasel Know that if your children are enlisted in the armed forces, he will not send them into harms way for personal reasons, or an ulterior agenda. hmmmm....my father is a Colonel in the Army and has been fighting since Viet Nam......personal reasons would have been under Billary
The fact that he is black is secondary. We hope and pray.... Personally, I'm proud that this election does show that the bigots and racists are in the minorityYes they are, but they sadly still exist and still CAN rock our world. .

The election is over now , all the political rhetoric can be put to bed now ,so let me say this . Regardless of what he has done in the past,I am willing to give him a chance.I will stand behind our new President until he give me a reason not to.Hopefully he wont, because i don't think our country can take much more of a beating than it has .I think we all can say if we look honestly at where we are and what we have become,it isn't very pretty. So lets hope this President can put us back on track to a greatness that we have left behind a long time ago.
If not i hope Crimzy and Zman and Rylan are still around to argue/debate with ,ive enjoyed it greatly

Ditto, I am waiting for the final numbers on senate and house. If they don't start delivering and Obama in the next four years, I will vote against them too. If you look way back in older posts, you will find that I sadly admitted, I voted for Bush in 2000. This is why I have been so hard on the republican party , especially when the people gave them all three branches and they wasted that opportunity. If the Democrats waste this gift, I will vote against them next time. However, this time it's a much larger task to overcome. We will see though...

recent ? slavery was abolished over a century ago

Dude, under a century ago... it really is pretty recent when you think about the fact that some people still have living grandparents who used to own slaves. When those who once owned slaves are still alive, that's how you know it's not that distant.

That doesn't mean it was enforced by local authorities and that it stopped cold turkey. Slaves used to drive cars for their "owners" and cars weren't even invented until the early 1900's

i dont agree with him on much, but i do plan on giving Obama a chance, hearing what he has to say. And plan to pray for him that he will be the best leader he knows how to be!
