Hate to break it to you boys but the only teams that have a shot at the rookie of the year are the bad ones, because they pick high in the draft.
So thats how it works? Thanks for the tip!

AND thats why you have been stuck in mediocrity and have been the BRAVES of basketball the past decade! Just good enough to make the playoffs and Not BAD enough to get a high draft pick.
The smartest thing you have done this off season is to get rid of FLIP SAUNDERS but then that leaves you with CONSISTENT playoff underachievers TAYSHAUN PRINCE and CHAUNCEY BILLIPS. PLUS you are still stuck with Team Chemistry Destroyer RASHEED WALLACE.

This yrs rookie of the year will help lead his team past the first round of the playoffs at least.
Rookie of the yr will be Greg Oden. Im hoping he stays healthy. Im ready to see him play a game!!

I am with you there, I am very interested to see what the big man can do!
About D. Rose, if his teammates can knock down the open shots he should have a lot of assists and his ability to get down the lane at will should allow him to put up 12-14 points a game and possibly 8-10 assists.
I think the Bulls will win 40-42 games this year and probably will not or just squeak into the playoffs. Boston, Detroit, Cleveland, Orlando, Philly and Toronto are all better.

IMO, Portland fans are in for a lot of disappointment, Oden was injury prone in high school, injury prone in college, and injury prone now....He is Sam Bowie at worst, Bill Walton at best.
Robin Lopez will be Rookie of the Year!

:
Maybe I should go buy a lottery ticket today....Greg Oden scoreless last night, MRI today.....Bummer, gotta feel for the guy.
Laker fans should feel pretty good about their season though.

Lakers look really realy good.. I think Champions I hate to say. Very deep, Bynum can take over for SOFT gasol and Kobe needs to only play at 60%... That formula = Championship!

Suns vs. Spurs was just good entertainment. And a nice road win to start the Terry Porter era.

Saw some promising things for Suns fans like myself, Shaq looks to be in decent condition and motivated like he was his first year in Miami, new style looked good with still a lot of pick n roll and had some good defensive stops down the stretch, Nash looked to be in fairly good form, and Amare is just a beast.

Timmy and Tony Parker are still really really good.

Those are solids stats for the first game of the year, if he is able to produce the Heat will be a solid team this year. I was hoping the Bulls would have trade Hinrich to the Heat for something.

Yeah, Chalmers has the makings of the steal of this years draft, Michael Beasley may not be the Rookie of the Year on his own team
. Jayson Williams who?
Knicks fans must be excited, they may just have the athletes to play the Dantoni system the way the Suns did before Shaq, that may be a fun team to watch.

Knicks look good and VERY DISCIPLINED.. something I have not seen since Van Gundy maybe.. CAN YOU BELIEVE the big talk if the day.. MARBURY did not play one MINUTE! A strong message from DANTONI that Marbury is NOT in the KNICKS future!

Interesting, so it was coach's decision? When I saw the box score I figured injury or late for practice or something like that. That's great! He's a bum.
