Great games tonight people! What an opening week!
Dallas/Houston
Phoenix/New Orleans
I'm sure you saw the Pistons victory last night, Miami. They went 11 deep, 10 guys scored more than 5 points. You know my guys are guaranteed 50-60 wins at a minimum. Let's see what happens when we face Boston in the conference finals again.

I think the Bulls will be a suprise in the east. =D
Chicago should be pretty good. They were a playoff team 2 years ago and, with their draft, I'd say it would be a disappointment if they aren't in the playoffs this year.

Damn, The MAVERICKS look soooooo soft... I dont think they made ANY off season acquisitions.. same weak team.. you can muscle and intimidate them.

lol yeah. Offense is great but no D, and they still holding on to the "Best Center: in the NBA...
On another hand Rockts look great. D was horrible tonight but I know that wont happen all the time. They have a deep bench.
So far seems like top 2 teams n the west are Rockets and LAkers. And they play on Nov 9th cant wait. Hope both teams stay undefeated until then

Suns vs. Spurs was just good entertainment. And a nice road win to start the Terry Porter era.

Saw some promising things for Suns fans like myself, Shaq looks to be in decent condition and motivated like he was his first year in Miami, new style looked good with still a lot of pick n roll and had some good defensive stops down the stretch, Nash looked to be in fairly good form, and Amare is just a beast.

Timmy and Tony Parker are still really really good.
Nice road win since the refs gave it to them. The calls were pathetic. Tim went up for a basket, Shaq knocks him flat on his face, and they call nothing. Then after he was tired of the Hack-A-Shaq, he literaly elbowed Thomas in the face, and the refs called the foul on Thomas! Too many ticky tack fouls called by that woman ref.

As a Spurs fan, don't you even get sick of all the flopping your team does, the Spurs are great, but it's like watching soccer players at times...If the Spurs keep playing Shaq like that, he's gonna lay somebody out for a few weeks he said in an interview, and accept the suspension.
Suns were sloppy last night, hopefully just tired from the big win in San Antonio.

Watched a bit of the Suns last night (turned it over when the election coverage made me ill), funny seeing the Lopez twins against each other, Robin looked better than Brook.
Gonna be a long year for the Nets I suspect, they didn't look good at all.

And now its deleted or gone? No foul language nor was it provocative. Very very strange!

I don't think I saw that one. BTW, Pistons are 4-0... nothing special. Should be cool when Iverson starts playing Friday.
Have you seen Wade's new shoe commercial where everyone is talking about how fragile he is? It's actually a pretty clever commercial, though not really flattering for D-Wade.

Did Amare get a 2 point conversion somewhere that I missed? 49pts
Impressive numbers regardless.. I am very happy with D-Wades 29pts, 7 rebs, 6 assists AND 5 steals IN 3 QUARTERS! Our new guy CHALMERS is a stud broke the team Record with 9 steals last night and Beasley is puttiing upa double double every time he hits the floor! We are a fast running team now which we NEVER have had BUT we play the most staunch defense I have ever seen us play, Just as good as the the early ZO, Masburn, PJ Brown years AND i cant wait for Zo to get back to anchor our defense, guard the rim and send those shots right back where they came from.

Lebron had a good game as well
Any team like MINNESOTA that lets Parker? score 55pts on you needs to get their A$$ kicked. ridiculous... We play them on Friday.. lets see how he does against our defense then.

Dude, Its very flattering, It a Converse commercial, his #1 sponser. It its showing his resilience and what he had to overcome to get where he is. Overcoming ALL the NAY SAYERS and doubters, to get over any injuries! To get the ultimate goal, The Trophy! And in his 3rd year! ALL WHILE, DARKO, LEBRON, BOSH, MELO, HINRICH are still pursuing theirs!

BESIDES, I prefer this commercial much better! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77kkjV5OPGI

I just say it's not flattering because it does have an air of truth to it. D-Wade has been injury prone. It would be like doing a shoe commercial focused on Shaq's free throw shooting. That's a weakness of D-Wade's game.
D-Wade did win a championship but don't forget that he had a very big, still productive guy commanding double teams in the middle. Slashing shooting guard/small forwards are a dime a douzen in the NBA. Lebron, Melo, Kobe, T-Mac, Vince Carter, Kevin Durant, Paul Pierce, etc. The list goes on and on. The reality, IMHO, is that D-Wade is very replaceable. Getting a top notch point guard and bigs are more important.

Dude, pass the Kool-aid, D WADE HAD a very badly dislocated shoulder that went along with a troublesome knee at the end of the 2007 season and into the 2008 season as well.. AND THATS IT during his whole college and professional career. Even with those injuries he was able to come back and be very productive during the 2007 playoffs. He has gone through tremendous rehab and now is back to his 100% self as seen from his Olympic play and current play. AS far as when we got SHAQ, He was already in serious decline, im not saying that he didn't play a major role in our championship (which I am eternally grateful) But he did not have nearly the impact he did with us especially in the playoff and finals as he did in the early 2000's when he and Kobe where both 50/50 contributors. D-Wade took over the 2006 play offs and finals NEARLY single handedly. It was as close to a one man show as you can get. It was not the 2007 Spurs or 2008 Celtics where you had a big 3. So I feel the accomplishment was more bitter sweet! I mean the guy averaged 35pts a game for crikeys sake.

bigs more than a point... having a go to guy I think is most important in today's game... that will kill you by drawing fouls down the stretch and taking over a 4th qtr... there is not to many that can do that night over night... point is nice but not essential... having a servicable PG who won't hurt you will do.
