When it goes crazy the full page editor helps to not have to copy paste...but I can't seem to get a quote to work right.

My iPhone messes up all the time on this site... I can't post half the time from it without reloading the page over and over.
That sucks that you think you can't use your 540. You don't think you could pay a company to come out and do the work for you? That would be a shame to waste that beautiful large tank!

i would imagine it would cost alot .plus in the end its still acrylic and scratches. i have been looking around i can get a 300 gallon on craigslist stand and lights for $2000.i have about 2 months then i really have to think if i want two big tanks.i love my 250 reef but i still want to have fish like an emporer angel, snowflake eel, trigger you know the stuff i cant have now.i figure a 300 is plenty big.gotta see how much cash i have after building this house first.

Both glass and acrylic have their pros and cons.....

Seth doubt very seriously any company will come out on site and cut the tank down as needed and replace the panel.....This definitely is an in house job where things can be controlled.....A lot of variables in the repair......Cutting the bottom and top off the tank isn't the big issue, the issue comes into play when gluing in the new panels. Depending on temp and humidity at his place things could get ugly, at least in a shop; controlled environment they know how the solvent is technically going to react and their working time.....

Ah, I got yah. I understand now.
So - Technically you could have an acrylic repair shop in the back of a large truck with an air conditioner/heater and a generator with some lights and stuff... and load that sucker up and work on it. LOL Pipe Dream...
