Nitrate is going up 8 was 3 like 2 days ago...

so i think my tank is doing good.. now just waiting for the algae to grow..
so when do you get your clean up crew... do you have to wait for Ammonia dn rite to be 0.00???? and then wait a fee days of that.. (as i just finally took out my yucky shrimp) wow was that ranside when i took it out... make me watn to puke... once i took it out it started to break apart... i turned off all my flow to the tank.. and it looked like star wars in light speed... kinda neet..

You should test your makeup water and tank water before a water change IMO.

Fireworms are part of the bristle worm family. Fireworms can eat hard and soft corals. I'd try to get that one out of there. Other bristleworms are good for the above but not that one.

the bristleworm he showed the picture of is a scavenger and will likely not harm corals at all, however will eat uneaten food and detritus. I have them in my tank and nothing has done a better job of keeping the bed clean, besides my goby of course. never had a coral bothered by them either.

Well we went out today.. and got our cleaning crew..
We got
3 Blue leg hermit Crabs
1 Astrea Snail
All i can say is that we put in our 3 crabs and 2 of them went right to work eating away.. and the 3rd well he went like speedy gonzales to explore the tank..
And our Snail we he went to work on one of our Big rocks.. DAMM does it do a good job of cleaning... you can see the clean trail behind him...

Is that a power head on the left side of the tank? and what kind of filter are you using. I also have a tank about your size and i want to get some LR, LS to get some diverse life going on. and what is the hose for on the tank?

yep it a maxi jet 400.. we have a penguin bio wheel 400...
Our tank is a 29 G one...
Oh and that hose on the tank is for acclimation is a drip method for acclimatizing the fish or the cleanup crew or anything before you put them in the tank.. look on your left on here and you will see it there in YELLOW FLASH look at that.. first time for myself....
have you gotten your tank yet???

well i have a my tank already its just that it doesn't have any LR or LS. and its fish only tank. I want to switch it up but i don't know how long i am able to leave my fish in some kind of container in order for the water to cycle and i don't know anything about the cycle stuff. I'm not going to switch it though until the beginning of may because i'm at college right now so i don't want to put that responsibility on my parents. But when i do i'm sure you'll see my threads on here!
